Thank you to the @wrlabourcouncil for once again hosting the Ed Weidinger Memorial Labour Day Picnic, bringing our community together to recognize the important work done by the labour movement to protect tens of thousands of local workers here, across Canada, and beyond.

We went from 18 outage areas and over 19k customers out at peak in the coverage area at 6pm, with over half restored by 10pm to less than 1000 customers to address asap this morning! Canada welcomes that the U.S. is now withdrawing its positions on discoverability and labelling and is confirming that measures to promote French language and Canadian culture will not be subject to future U.S. trade actions.
We look forward to further constructive U.S. clarifications on their other positions which would create the possibility of a mutually beneficial trade agreement that respects Canadian sovereignty.
