Maritime Launch Welcomes Dr. Valarie A Findlay as Security Advisor. In this role Dr. Valarie Findlay will oversee operational and corporate security at Maritime Launch. With more than 25 years of experience spanning government, military, intelligence, and the private sector in Canada and the United States, Dr. Findlay brings exceptional expertise in cybersecurity, intelligence operations, critical infrastructure protection, and strategic security planning. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in developing security policies, operational frameworks, and intelligence-sharing standards that safeguard sensitive information, critical assets, and national security interests. Holding a doctorate in Sociology from Royal Roads University, along with advanced degrees in Terrorism Studies and Sociology, Dr. Findlay brings a unique combination of technical expertise, strategic insight, and an understanding of emerging geopolitical and cyber threats. In her new role, Dr. Findlay will lead the development of Maritime Launch’s security architecture, establishing robust frameworks to protect our operations, people, and critical infrastructure as we develop Spaceport Nova Scotia as Canada’s dual-use orbital launch site. As Maritime Launch continues to build the foundations for Canada’s sovereign launch from Nova Scotia, security and resilience remain central to our mission.
