This is likely to be taken out of context and for most golfers would be a pointless message to receive.
Please don’t anyone spend 3 weeks in a studio without watching ball flight unless you’ve been a world number 1 🤷🏼♂️
So why did @McIlroyRory not allow himself to see ball flights for three weeks?
Here he is explaining today....

There is strong evidence to suggest that good quality coach-athlete relationships predict athlete & coach performance and wellbeing.
Have you asked “what are my relationships like with the athletes/coaches I work at present?”

4 reminders for your next practice session:
1️⃣ THE BIG MYTH is that making errors in practice is going to promote making more errors in performance, however an effective learning environment is going to challenge the learner and a byproduct of that is mistakes.
Mistakes and failure are part of the learning process!
2️⃣ Focus on Long-term Learning, Not Short-term Performance: Don’t worry too much about how well you perform during practice.
Instead, focus on challenging yourself to optimize long-term learning.
3️⃣ Too much or too little difficulty during your practice then the learning is minimized.
The goal is to be optimally challenged for success during the round, and not success during practice
4️⃣ Seek the Sweet Spot of Challenge: Aim for a 65 to 70 percent success rate in your practice.
It's okay to fail about 30-35 percent of the time, as it helps in long-term learning.
Recent events have led me to this paper. Most interesting … 🤔

🧠 Rafael Nadal on commitment and giving your all, every single time:
“I just don’t see the point of playing a sport unless you’re giving it your all. The same goes for training, which has caused me problems sometimes when the players I’ve chosen for practice during tournaments say that I train too hard, too soon, that I don’t give them a chance to warm up and they are tired out in ten minutes. It’s been a common complaint all along my career. But I haven’t sold my soul to tennis.
The effort I invest is great, but I don’t consider it a sacrifice. It’s true that I’ve trained every day practically since the age of six and that I make big demands of myself. And meanwhile my friends are out partying or sleeping late. But I haven’t felt this to be a sacrifice or a loss because I’ve always enjoyed it. That is not to say that there haven’t been times when I’d have liked to do something else—such as stay in bed after a late night out instead of training”
