Replying to @cem_uk_
Hard Left' For years Corbyn and his supporters were routinely described as such by the media and Labour Party infiltrators. Jez was offering mild democratic socialism Scandinavian style. He was for the many. They were for Israel. Ramsay is a media darling, same as Hodge was. 🤮

“Living standards are falling for us.” Yet UK banks just posted £29bn in half-year profits. Lloyds’ profits jumped 99% to £2.3bn as mortgage rates hit 6%, while Shell doubled its profits to £8bn. This isn’t just an economic crisis; it’s a wealth transfer.

This is the reddest of red flags. So many young people are flocking to the Greens because the other parties offer neoliberalism (or fascism) and they've been screwed over by neoliberalism their whole lives. Othering them by calling them the "hard left" is disgusting.

When considering the campaign against Polanski, it’s important for people to first understand that the public lynching of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn had ZERO to do ‘antisemitism in the Labour Party’ and was a coordinated, multi-pronged attack spearheaded by Israel Lobby, it’s paid political soldiers in Parliament (both Tory & Labour), the Murdoch Media (Times et al), British Intelligence, and CIA/US National Security state. All of that. Parts of this machine have been deployed to destroy Polanski for telling the truth about Zionism & Europe’s Israeli apartheid colonial settler state project currently carrying out an ongoing genocide of the native Palestinian and Lebanese populations. This is what the virtuous ‘Western civilization’ has based their political attacks on…
Ahead of what will clearly be a coordinated assault on Zack Polanski - some basic facts. 1 - Yes, Polanski's own net approval ratings have dipped sharply in recent months. This is primarily the result of more people becoming aware of him and forming an opinion. His actual approval ratings have been remarkably steady and, at 19%, he remains considerably more popular than his party. 2 - By comparison Adrian Ramsay's approval rating when he was co-leader in June 2025 was 5%. 81% had either never heard of them or had never bothered to form an opinion. His fellow co-leader Carla Denyer was only marginally better on 9%. 3 - Reportedly 18,000 members have left in recent months. But this is in the context of an unprecedented surge in membership which took the party from 70k to close to quarter of a million members after Polanski became leader. 4 - The party now has more than 1300 local councillors, compared to less than 900 when Polanski became leader. 5 - Yes, the Greens have dipped in the polls recently. But even now they are at the same level they were when he became leader. And they are primarily victims of their own success having obliged the Labour Party to ditch Starmer - a level of influence the Greens could previously only dream of. 6 - The Zionism is racism motion is held up as having done huge damage to the party. An Opinium poll showed 56% of Green Party members supported it - and just 13% opposed it. A clear majority among all voters under 34 who expressed an opinion supported it. By any logical criteria, if your aim is for the Greens to become Britain's first genuinely radical, mass political party, capable of holding the balance of power in parliament, it makes no sense whatsoever to get rid of Polanski. It makes sense only if that is precisely what you don't want to happen. thetimes.com/uk/politics/art…

In all my days… I’ve never seen a police officer so desperate to arrest someone, yet unable to do so. She was simply reiterating the Government’s position, so what could he do? Arrest the Government?

I expect increased prices, decreased quality and possibly layoffs as it will have to take a load of debt which will no doubt be dumped on it.

Michael Dell: A 70% tax rate? "Name a country where that worked. Ever." The United States, from 1936 to 1980. Dumbass.🤦🏻‍♀️ Tax rates rose to 79% in 1936, rose up to 94% during WWII, fell to 82% in 1949, hovered at 91% from '51 to 63, and then stayed at 70% or above until 1980. These rates drove us out of the depression and into powerhouse economies. It was not until Reagan crashed the rates into the 30% range that we started accumulating massive debt and income inequality. Facts matter. And the facts show: Republicans are not good for the economy. Vote blue on Tuesday, November 3rd!🌊

WESMINSTER The price of a Union Jack: Dim chancellor hands our taxes to Zelenskyy to squander on corrupt handouts to his pals and killing and maiming his own people and Russians. Mind you, it might last only a month. The gifts include: £10 billion in loans and export guarantees, plus £500 million in urgent military aid for the winter. The entire House of Commons, Healey said, stands united behind Ukraine. YOU 'YES' YET?

The 50 wealthiest families own more wealth than the poorest 34 *million* people. The problem is not a pensioner or a young person looking for a job - the problem is wealth inequality. We need a wealth tax. Now.

Capitalism is apparently the most efficient allocation mechanism ever invented, provided you ignore empty houses, homeless people, destroyed food, planned obsolescence, medical bankruptcies, wage theft, monopolies, pollution, bullshit jobs, and periodic financial catastrophes.

This £10 billion brings the total sent by the UK government to Ukraine to £35 billion so far. To put it another way that's £1200.00 from every single UK household. I'm sure the oligarchs needs are greater than ours, those gold and diamond Rolex watches don't come cheap.
Does anyone else think this out of order? Burnham and Healey boast that they told Zelensky the details of the Budget's £10 billion package for Ukraine before the Cabinet, before the House of Commons and before the British people. This surely must be unprecedented?

when we say tax the rich, we’re not talking about average people with savings. we mean the billionaires and corporations hoarding wealth while the rest of us struggle to afford basic necessities. stop defending the people making your life harder.

It's amazing how the "welfare budget is out of control" people aren't asking the chancellor where £10 billion for Ukraine is coming from
