He gave us hope, something to believe in & a sense of pride back into the club & the city. I’ll never forget David Kelly’s goal against Pompey that saved us from relegation & set the Keegan dream rolling - I went one way & me glasses another. Thank you King Kev & rest in peace😥
We are devastated to learn of the passing of Kevin Keegan, one of the most iconic, influential and deeply loved figures in our club’s history. Kevin was more than a legendary footballer and manager. He was the beating heart of Newcastle United for generations of supporters.

Having said that, @WestMidRailway not much better as train from Perry Barr into Birmingham cancelled too
Appreciating how much I love travelling by train, but, travelling with @CrossCountryUK on a Sunday is not for the faint hearted - cancellations, short forms & overcrowding to the point people can’t get on. Had a great journey on Friday & the complete opposite tonight

Early morning on the train heading to Birmingham for a weekend of athletics, but having a little nosey at the Camp Hill line on the way - a little comparison to another new line……

Been another good afternoon sharing the success of the Northumberland Line with some busy trains on show too
Huge thanks to @northernassist and @N_landCouncil for taking us on the Northumberland Line as part of #BetterTransportWeek. A massive success story, the line has had close to a million journeys in its first year! Next stop on our rail reopenings tour? Treherbert in South Wales!

One of the reasons we’ve delivered rail safety sessions to over 14,000 school students as part of the Northumberland Line project & asked them all to take the messages home with them
Last year we closed a level crossing in Gateshead after near misses involving cyclists, pedestrians and a dog walker. 😰 Always be aware of your surroundings at a level crossing! 👉 bit.ly/4ggI8wG #ILCAD #InternationalLevelCrossingAwarenessDay

There was a never ending midnight sun but no skinny dipping with your heart out at night 2 of Big Weekend - enjoyed a bit of Zara Larrson whilst waiting in the queue ✅ Can’t wait for Olivia Dean tonight but no bus driving, just cider drinking 👍

Needed the green green grass of home by Tom Jones playing this morning when I stepped down from the train at Wylam - here for the launch of the Wylam Railway History Trail. Many a good hour spent here spotting trains as a kid. – at Wylam, England
