If he keeps saying things like that, it will become impossible for Canadians to pay for their own drinks in any bar in the democratic world.

Trump in 2015: I would not be throwing Xi Jinping a dinner. I would get him a McDonald's hamburger and say 'we have to get down to work.' We're giving him a state dinner and what he has done is sucked all of our jobs.

Yes. Canada has same immigration rate as the United States currently (0.5%). But unlike the United States, Canada does not have a heavily armed militia roaming the streets of major cities shooting people in the back without due process. #cdnpoli @RapidResponse47 #Trump
Canada just posted its slowest population growth rate since World War I. 0.5% July-to-July. +189k people. Non-permanent residents: −155k. Ontario: +0.3%. The immigration brake is showing up in the headcount. Housing demand from population just downshifted hard. StatCan, July 1 2026.

Something you don’t see every day. “O Canada” gets a standing ovation from a packed stadium in Buffalo. Thousands of Americans on their feet for the Canadian anthem. 🇨🇦🤝🇺🇸 Sometimes the relationship between Canadians and Americans looks a lot different on the ground than it does online.

I grew up in Calgary. This is arguably the most conservative constituency in Canada's most conservative city. This is not just a by-election result. It is an earthquake. Danielle Smith has been a disaster in so many ways. This is proof. #ableg #cdnpoli

Let us set this straight “Canada is Missouri's largest international export market, accounting for $5.8 billion in goods shipped annually (about 31% of the state's total goods exports)” so seems you’ve been enjoying the fruits of our trade relationship for a long time.
So let me get this straight. Canada’s been actively discriminating against American producers for years, and rather than working with @POTUS to establish fair and free trade between Canada and the United States, their solution is to further discriminate against American workers and businesses? Canada should come to the table, negotiate with the United States, and strike a deal that treats Americans fairly rather than joining China in retaliating against the U.S. President Trump is right to use all available tools to pressure Canada to end its discrimination against U.S. products.

USMCA (negotiated by Trump) provides duty-free treatment for most qualifying US-Canada trade. Canada's recent tariffs respond to US 50% tariffs on Canadian goods after bilateral talks collapsed; disputes involve dairy, alcohol and autos under ongoing USMCA review. congress.gov/crs-product/IF… canada.ca/en/department-…

Jean Chrétien: "It looks like they don't know what to do. When your big thing is to change the name of a lake, it's because you're running out of arguments. It is a very weak gesture, to be cheap and nasty. Lake Ontario is not suffering. It's a lake."

Five people were killed yesterday after an American-made Boeing plane careened off a runway in Miami. You'd expect the President to be offering condolences to the victims’ families in his home state. Instead, he’s doing this. Just a terrible leader. #nspoli #cdnpoli #MAGA
NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren’t good enough! Over 50% of their revenue comes from the United States — They live off American Buyers, American Companies, American Airports, and American Service — All while Canada blocks our GREAT American Banks, and Companies, throughout the U.S.A. They even blocked Gulfstream Aerospace from doing business in Canada — Completely unjust and unfair! That Era is OVER! If they want our Market, they must build here, and stop treating America like a “piggybank.” BUY AMERICAN. FLY ON AMERICAN AIRLINERS. ENJOY AMERICAN LIQUOR AND BEVERAGES. SAIL ON LAKE AMERICA. AMERICA FIRST! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP ( TS: Sep 7 2026, 1:39 PM ET )‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌

As someone who's been to the US recently, American inflation has exploded. The sticker price of consumer goods in the US is often the same as in Canada. Given the difference in currency value this makes goods bought in the US considerably more expensive. #nspoli #cdnpoli

Without Canada's potash, the US won't have any agricultural crops (no potatoes or corn, aka Doritos, Twinkies, and chips). Cows, Pigs and Cows also need those crops to live. So no meat.
Trump: We could do tremendous good for ourselves by just not trading with countries.. We lose with Mexico $195 billion a year. They have nothing that we have to have, I mean. Hot tamales, tomatoes, a couple of things

The trade deficit is not a debt, it does not represent losing money to the other country. It means more goods were imported from it than exported to it. Why has to do with many factors, mainly the United States has more highly paid, skilled, and educated service workers. hoover.org/research/trade…
