the prob with supermarkets is if u bump into someone & exchange pleasantries u then have to meticulously keep tabs on them for the rest of the shop to avoid a mildly awk 2nd encounter, leading to u hiding in dairy as they pass thru oil & u leave with like 4 dips & a slab of yogos
v exciting that woodfire pizza opened up in broken hill but when i checked it out it was just 2 dudes in a dim unventilated room with so much smoke u could barely read the big cardboard menu in front
they have a single table inside & it has a gingham cloth thrown over to make it look restauranty.. as i waited there for our pizza tears started streaming down my face from the smoke

sun glinted off an incredible bird in the road, a fairy wren with golden head & almost metallic purple plumage. as i drove near it did a headstand out the way & thru applause & tears as i passed i noticed it was a turkish delight wrapper but the greatest wrapper i ever did behold
been taking some time every day for the past week or so just to think abt the friend who used to believe the lyrics to the sound of silence opened with: 'Hello Douglas my old friend'
