Watching the ever-animated @CoachCalArk as Arkansas is taking it to Michigan in the Jimmy V Classic @MSG. Brings me way back to:

(That brought @UMassMBB to No. 1 in 1994-95.) 3. The very first Jimmy V Classic 29 years ago when UMass ascended to No. 1 in 1995-96 with a win over Georgia Tech at the Meadowlands.

Jerry West was a Hall of Fame player and a Hall of Fame GM, but where West was best was in his candor and courage about dealing with depression. Listen from 32:12 to the interview @krisrhim1 and I did with him in 2021: content.production.cdn.art19…

Do you remember the argument not long ago that #NCAAWBB was so much more boring than #NCAAMBB because #UConn was so good that the sport wasn’t competitive enough?

The last time @UMassMBB played against @GTMBB was 28 years ago tomorrow night in the Jimmy V Classic at The Meadowlands. UMass was ranked No. 2. Georgia Tech was ranked No. 21. That same night, No. 1 Kansas lost to UMass's dear friends, the Temple Owls, so the stakes were high.

Twenty-eight years ago, but the memories are all so incredibly vivid.

Jimmy Carter is 99 today. I got the chance to hear him speak live when he was a young pup of 89. His words filled me with hope: martydobrowatthecivilrightss…

You score 12 runs. You have 23 hits. Somehow, @RedSox, you still lose.

Fifteen years ago tonight: the zaniest game of them all for the @RedSox. A decade and a half later (and half a decade since this story), I still find it boggling: audacy.com/weei/blogs/10-yea…
