Was checking @Polymarket and the NATO x Russia clash market caught my eye. Odds by Aug 31 just crashed to 3%, down 40% in a week. $6M+ already traded on this one question. Even the Dec 31 odds are only sitting at 30%. Market’s basically saying calm down, nobody’s actually escalating. If you’ve got a read on this one, could be worth a look!

How to Build a Lower-Risk Combo on @Polymarket Sometimes, when building a combo on Polymarket, we can get a little confused and not know exactly which markets to combine. That’s why I wanted to share the approach that has worked for me and explain what I personally look at when choosing markets. If I’m going to build a combo, I usually go with football because I find football analysis easier to understand, and I feel like the different factors and situations in a match are easier to analyze and predict. So, which markets should we choose to increase our chances of winning? one of the most important things is to avoid markets where the outcome depends on one very specific event whenever possible. For example, predicting which team scores first, which team wins, or how many goals each team will score can increase the risk. For the prediction to be correct, you have to accurately predict a specific outcome, and one small event during the game can completely change everything. one of the better options for building a more conservative combo is Over 0.5 Total Goals, meaning that there will be at least one goal scored in the match. The advantage of this market is that we don’t need to predict which team will score, when the goal will be scored, or which team will ultimately win the game. All we need is for at least one goal to be scored during the 90 minutes. That’s why I personally prefer these broader markets when building a combo. Of course, before choosing a match, it’s still important to look at the teams’ current form, scoring stats, recent games, and the overall situation surrounding the match. Just because an outcome looks highly likely on paper doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to happen. Overall, I think that when you bet on a broader outcome, you’re generally taking on less risk compared to making very specific predictions, and your chances of success can be higher. However, the more specific your prediction becomes, the more risk you also have to accept. For example, predicting that “there will be at least one goal in the match” is not the same in terms of uncertainty as predicting that “Team X will win and score the first goal.” So, to put it simply, when building a lower-risk combo, I personally prefer focusing on broader and more likely outcomes rather than trying to predict specific events. This approach doesn’t guarantee a win, but it can help make your selections more logical and keep the risk more manageable.

Another new market on @Polymarket Right now, The Odyssey has the highest odds. But personally, I don’t think we can make a confident call until Dune: Part Three comes out. Dune has been way too strong to count out. So if you’re thinking about buying into this market, I’d wait for now. I want to see how Dune: Part Three performs first, then decide which one I’m backing. Which one are you guys backing?👇🏼

Big update for @Polymarket Starting August 7, Up/Down markets will no longer resolve using a single price snapshot. Instead, they’ll use TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price). This is a meaningful improvement: • Makes last second price manipulation much harder. • Leads to fairer market resolution. • Rewards sustained price action instead of a single final tick. On top of that, Polymarket is adding $1M in liquidity rewards throughout August. A solid step toward more robust prediction markets.

g @Polymarket Trading is a game of probabilities, discipline, and risk management, not chasing perfect predictions. Happy to see that consistency is reflected in my current position on the Polymarket Plenty more to learn, but this is a nice milestone. (Volume leaderboard )

I’ve been pretty active on @Polymarket lately, and I honestly didn’t realize how many predictions I’d made until I checked my stats today. It’s been a fun journey with plenty of wins, a few painful misses, and a lot of learning along the way. Every market teaches you something new. I thought it’d be fun to share my current stats. Now I’m curious… how are you all doing? Drop a screenshot of your Polymarket stats below. I’d love to see your total predictions or biggest win so far. 👀

Another win on @Polymarket 🥳 I was honestly so stressed during the England vs. France match. Scoring 10 goals in a single game is absolutely insane. It was an incredible match, and I’m really happy to have come away with another win on polymarket. I hope everyone who participated in this market managed to make some profit as well. Congrats to all the winners!

Another win on @Polymarket 🔥 Hit another prediction today and I’m honestly really happy with how it played out. Hope everyone else managed to lock in some profits too. The thing I’m still wondering is… why do so few people bet on this outcome? From my perspective, the probability always seemed much higher than the market was pricing in. It felt like one of those opportunities hiding in plain sight. Curious what everyone else thinks. Did anyone here take the same position on polymarket, or was I one of the few?

Another Win on @Polymarket . I was on Shootout, and I’m happy with the result. Hope everyone who made the right prediction tonight walked away with a profit. One thing I’ve learned is that some of the best opportunities on Polymarket are the ones most people overlook. When I took my position, the market volume was still pretty low, so not many people were paying attention. Sometimes the biggest edge comes from spotting these low-volume markets before everyone else catches on.

Tonight is one of the biggest World Cup matches yet, and the hype is real. I’m planning to place a bet on @Polymarket , but I’m still torn between France and Spain. Both sides have a strong case, so it’s not an easy pick. One thing this World Cup has made clear to me is how many opportunities there have been to make money on Polymarket . Looking back, I feel like I could’ve taken advantage of a lot more markets if I’d been more active from the start. Who are you backing tonight? France or Spain?

Another Win on @Polymarket 🧘🏼‍♀️ Bet against Switzerland before the Argentina match and it played out exactly as expected. Love when a solid read turns into profit. That’s why prediction markets on Polymarket are so much fun.

Some traders on @Polymarket ’s 5-min market aren’t guessing price. They’re watching the order book. Here’s the trick: right before the window closes, if everyone rushes to buy “Up,” sellers disappear. Whoever is willing to sell in that moment even at $0.95, captures the spread. Do that consistently, across hundreds of windows, and it adds up. Not one lucky flip steady, repeatable edge. Most people trading these markets by feel are losing money. The real edge is speed. Bots react in milliseconds. Humans can’t. If you’re just guessing “up or down,” you’re not trading. You’re gambling.

Most people think @Polymarket is just betting on stuff. It’s actually a live case study in market microstructure. It’s not an AMM, it’s a CLOB (central limit order book), same as real exchanges. Your edge doesn’t come from being right; it comes from being right cheaper than the spread. Resolution runs through UMA’s optimistic oracle. A proposer submits an outcome, and unless disputed within a window, it settles. Truth here isn’t instant it’s adjudicated, with a delay. That delay creates “oracle drift”: price sometimes lags real-world resolution by minutes or hours. Not a bug a structural gap between reality and when the market can acknowledge it. Short-duration and micro-window markets look exciting but are the hardest place to have edge. Low volume + wide spreads + thin depth = the spread eats retail traders alive. Liquidity provision here isn’t like Uniswap LPs. You place resting limit orders and earn maker rebates but carry inventory risk on binaries that can gap to 0 or 1 overnight. The real, durable edges are structural: cross-platform arbitrage (Polymarket vs Kalshi ), repricing before slow resolvers catch up, and providing liquidity where spreads are irrationally wide. Fees are near-zero on trades, but that’s misleading, the real cost is spread + oracle risk + capital lockup until settlement. @Polymarket rewards people who understand market microstructure, not people with strong opinions. Trade the spread, not the story.
