After spending the weekend at NON, can someone explain how New Balance or Adidas Nationals could be any better than track at Hayward Field?

GHSA should allow community coaches to be head coaches in HS sports.
Some of the best coaches in the country don't work in the school system.
Forcing teachers to be a coach is counterproductive to the advancement & enhancement of athletes in my opinion.

NBC is prohibiting the NHL from posting Olympic clips so they're MS paint animating them.
Pretty dope, actually.

My team will be at 5u nationals this year! (assuming we get in as a wild card...)....Fell in love with the sport after watching the Olympics 4 years ago, and now we're here! Everyone should do it!
Is there anything more unnecessary than the national anthem before a 5K? I'm tryin to do strides and stay loose. Ain't no way I'm gonna stand still for that.
Being the first to do anything is always a record.
👟 Nike has unveiled some of the apparel and advances in technology that will aid Faith Kipyegon in her attempt to become the first woman to break four minutes for the mile on June 26th in Paris.
• Fly Suit – Kipyegon will wear an aerodynamic speed suit, arm sleeves and a headband aimed at minimizing drag.
• FlyWeb Bra – Kipyegon will be the first athlete to wear the brand’s new 3D printed TPU material bra. It has a “a lightweight, soft feel and breathable, optimized moisture management” to allow for breathability, comfort and unrestricted movement during the race.
• Victory Elite FK – Adjustments have been made to the Victory 2 spike to better fit Kipyegon in the attempt including “a taller, tuned forefoot Air Zoom unit, a lighter carbon outsole plate with six spikes, and a new upper made from ultra-lightweight yarns.” The spikes feature an “FK” for Faith Kipyegon and “Fastest Known” on one plate. The gold flecks are a tribute to her Olympic and World Championship victories.
A spokesperson for Nike told CITIUS MAG that the custom spikes would likely meet World Athletics’ shoe regulations. However, it was not submitted to World Athletics for review and approval, as further tweaks and changes may be made ahead of the sub-four mile attempt. The timeline for a shoe’s approval process by World Athletics also typically takes about 30 days upon receipt of the shoe by the independent expert who reviews it. Therefore, Breaking4 will not be world record eligible since it has not been approved and does not appear on World Athletics’ list of Approved Athletic Shoes.
Hey @WVUTrackField, @WVUSports, just want to make sure you saw this.
Reinstated! 🖤💛
Due to “overwhelming” support, MWSU will restore Track & Field, effective immediately.

At 5U Worlds, Team Rose of @CurlDenver won the inaugural international event. They picked up right where they left off after making the semifinals as a dark horse at the 2024 5U National Championship.
Finally getting caught up on everything after crazy weekend #1. It wasn't just crazy on the ice for me, it was a busy weekend at the club and 5U level as well!

In a rare crossover of 5U curling and the top tiers of curling, Darren Campbell's rink was the first to qualify for the 2025 5-and-Under National Championship through their home qualifier in Phoenix.
This morning, he faces off against @teamepping in the first draw in Phoenix.

5U curlers - a couple spots have opened up at the previously filled 5U qualifier at Heather Curling Club in Mapleton, MN. The organizer is doing a lot to make this an awesome event for everyone, would highly recommend registering if you are available! mapletoncurlingclub.com/inde…

Who has qualified so far for 5U nationals? What happened with the Cool Duck and Kayser getting switched for qualifiers?
New post out now: buff.ly/3CNW7Kt
The more I think about it, running a 4:30 mile in your 40s is a way more impressive goal than 26 consecutive 8 minute miles.
God forbid the lowest paid teachers in the country ask for help buying supplies.
Lots of wishlists in Emily's thread.

This is why they're prohibiting teachers from sharing wish lists.
You know what the most common thing on a Teacher Wish List is?
Markers
and tissues
and scissors
and classroom decor

It is time to blow up the system. This continues to be completely unacceptable. It is clear that EVERYONE at @usatf is more concerned with relationships than winning. No athlete should step on the track and run another relay until this program is changed from top to bottom.
If @TeamUSA wins all relays tomorrow, you talk to the athletes. If something happens and they do not sweep. ONLY talk to the coaches. Yes, I said it!!!
