I had the pleasure of meeting and learning from Prof Ellis on a number of occasions in my MRCS days. He was 2 decades past a retirement age then still going strong. Rest in Peace.

We are very sad to hear of the death of Prof Harold Ellis. He taught many of the us at under- or postgraduate level with an infective fervour which was inspiring. His stories will live on with his memory as a gifted educator who transformed and guided generations of doctors
