Now the insurance industry is having a go at playing the inflation game. How can they justify yet another year of no claims resulting in my car insurance going from £526 to £847? It's just profiteering for the sake of it. Just like banks, supermarkets & energy companies. #ripoff

Surely the bigger question is just why all of the big social media sites are happy to let advertisers run ads that are clearly BS cons? @elonmusk Why do you let these type of ads bypass any scrutiny or standards appraisals?

These types of videos are false advertising. Car scratches that are deep, especially down to base material are likely to require a professional to fix. caranddriver.com/shopping-advic… The second half of the video does not appear to be a scratch. Likely tar or tac from a driving surface.

Whilst driving through London today and it's endless 20 mph zones and speed traps, we had a right laugh at the ridiculous situation of a guy on a mobility vehicle outpacing the traffic doing over 20mph on the pavements. This went on for a good mile and a half. What a farce.

13yo me played the absolute SHIT out of Last Ninja 2 on school nights, scarcely believing this could all fit on my C64's 64kilobytes of RAM. Still love the chiptune soundtrack to this day. #Retrogaming

Been listening lately to a classic rock album that was taking off whilst Last Ninja 2 was being created at System 3 back in early 88. Def Leppards's "Hysteria" still stands as a work of genius. Someone at S3 house in Watford used to blare it out. Gods Of War made a helluva noise.

Can't believe more people don't see this issue as one of the main driver's of inflation. Corporate insistence on hitting ever increasing profit targets is driving up prices, not wage increases or public splurging. They raise prices cos they can, not cos it's necessary.

Yes. And Bank of England raising interest rates is a great way to give banks even greater profit increases from the public. Just as we saw in the last 6 months. Easy game when you decide the rates to hit folks with. bbc.co.uk/news/technology-65…

Green virtue signalling is McDs serving you a thick shake with a crappy paper straw held in place with a plastic lid. Fkn near impossible to drink the damn milkshake without at least a plastic straw. We're in a world of illogical nonsense posing as heroic strives to save us.

FREEZE64 issue 59 IS AVAILABLE TO BUY NOW! freeze64.com/freeze64-issue-… In the new issue: 🚗 We chat with new-age #Commodore64 programmer @monteboyd about his fabulous new arcade top-down game, MUDDY RACERS. ⚡️ @JazRignall reaches the end of his time with ZZAP!64 magazine, and so we share his final ZZAPBACK where he revisits The Great Giana Sisters, Bionic Commando, International Soccer, and Skate Crazy. 🐿️Secret Squirrel has two very different styles of hidden text to share with you; one for Mastertronic’s City Fighter, and the other for Alternative’s Slug. 🎙️ We chat with veteran programmer Andrew Trott who starting off producing games on the Commodore PET for Supersoft, progressed on to the VIC-20, and then our beloved Commodore 64, producing such delights as STIX, QUINX and XERONS. 🔎Back in December 2022, @fgasking, via his GTW64.co.uk website, released the recently discovered C64 game Lordsfire, which had previously been hidden away in a dusty box for around 38 years! We share Frank’s discovery and the recovery of Jeremy Walker’s long-lost game. 🚪Hands up who remembers The Thompson Twins? No – not the Tintin characters, but the UK pop band from the early to mid-eighties. Well – did you know that they had a Commodore 64 game called TREAD BEAR? We recently rediscovered it in The Mouldy Cupboard and couldn’t resist loading it up once again… Was it worth it? You’re about to find out! 📖Part 13 of the making of Steve Collins’ unreleased game, TRAN. We’re almost coming to the end of Steve’s diary, with only a couple more instalments left to share with you all. It’s a corker! #Commodore64 #C64 #PassionForTheCommodore64

"Annual growth in the volume of “creative artists” able to “earn a living from their art” on Spotify is slowing – not growing." And the volume of musicians getting equitable remuneration from billions of Spotify streams is still a big fat zero. musicbusinessworldwide.com/s…

Lets all be clear. Novak Djokovic is being denied entry to the USA because he didn't comply with their ridiculous idea that a non sterilising immunity vaccine somehow magically prevents you from being infected with SARS CoV2. It doesn't prevent infection. FACT. Indisputable fact.
🚨 | Novak Djokovic can not enter USA and play Indian Wells, Miami 🇺🇸 USA one of the most draconian polices in the world. 🇨🇳 Even China would allow Djokovic into the country to play. 🤡 Joe Biden is attempting to keep this charade going the clown tennisworldusa.org/tennis/ne…

People seem easily confused by the difference between informing the public of risk (education), and deliberately frightening them (emotional manipulation) Aside from the ethics, fear and anxiety impede good decision making Frightening people is wrong, AND bad public health

Complete fantasy land claim. Absolutely no evidence that closing schools saved anywhere near a figure of 1000s. No evidence it saved anyone's life. Plenty of evidence it ruined the education and mental health of 1000s of children though.
Replying to @cyclingkev
The NEU actions over those days saved 1000s of lives - not mainly the lives of children or even most teachers - but of clinically extremely vulnerable teachers, parents and grandparents who hadn’t yet been vaccinated - & you couldn’t always tell in advance who was vulnerable.

What was the empirical evidence they had that any cases were actually the result of Eat Out To Help Out? Cases in that short period during the summer were very low. The data on that is crystal clear. His "feedback" sounds suspiciously as if it's just anecdotal assumptions. Again.
