Movie theaters should let you get a handful of popcorn for a dollar

Filmmakers today can’t stop showing their math, like they’re gonna be graded on it. Stuff like this doesn’t matter. What matters is if the film is good. The guy who did the Crow remake had a whole list too.

33 cigarettes in part 1 ... 16 cigarettes in part 2 ... A runtime of 215 minutes ... With an average of one cigarette smoked every 4 minutes and 23 seconds ...The Brutalist is a REAL SMOKER MOVIE

One of the most important ideas that Lynch was very adamant on was the ability for viewers to intuit and interpret his work. You already have all that you need to understand it.

There's a million seasons worth of overpriced dogshit nobody watches on streamers that get canceled every year but somehow not enough money for two typically low budget auteurs like Waters and Solondz to make passion projects with established star commitments, i don't get it.
Todd Solondz is struggling to get his next film "Love Child," starring Elizabeth Olsen and Charles Melton, financed, but Olsen is doing her damndest to help him along: trib.al/lBqiKhf

Never forget
It appears that The Brutalist has become the film that a lot of critics secretly hate and will ultimately not win much, if anything at all. I’m not even sure it’s a lock for getting nominated for Best Picture at this point.

Regarding THE BRUTALIST costing $6m – Brady Corbet at the TIFF Q&A talked about how producers will spend $15k on a dinner like it’s nothing, but then gawk at wanting to spend it on things that will actually make the movie (camera packages, etc.) THE BRUTALIST looks and feels massive (OPPENHEIMER level) and, based on Brady’s comments, aside from wishing he had a bit more for his crew, he said he has no issue making movies for $10m. Small budgets spent well make for a much better picture than big budgets spent on bullshit, and I’m really excited for the shake-up this will ignite when it wins Best Picture.
