“Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived.” — Patrick Stewart as Capt. Jean-Luc Picard
Legendary actor Sir Patrick Stewart, best known for his work in the "Star Trek" and "X-Men" franchises and his prolific award-winning stage career, has died at 86 years old, his spokesperson confirmed. Stewart died at home on Wednesday, with his wife Sunny at his side, a post on his social media channels said. His death followed "a brief and poignant journey with Alzheimer's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia," the post said.

The NYT is so desperate to find an October surprise they bury the lede: 1) The staffer retracted her statement. 2) The staffer was a fired disgruntled employee. 3) They stuff this line in the article: "Ballot-stacking tactics are common in politics and generally considered legal — and have been employed by both parties in Alaska."
SCOOP: Democrats have insisted they have nothing to do with the other Dan Sullivan on Alaska's Senate ballot. But aides with the Mary Peltola campaign and DSCC were part of a monthslong secret plan to recruit him to run -- as well as other candidates. nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/po…

Texas Transgender Student Union, the anonymous LLC in Wyoming that sent the bogus mailers, has retained Ken Paxton's impeachment attorney, Chris Hilton, to represent them as Transgender Education Network of Texas, the group that TTSU impersonated in the mailers, seeks depositions

"We estimate that Mr Trump’s policies will cost the poorest tenth of American households, with average income after taxes and transfers of around $37,000, almost 3% of their income. The richest tenth, with average after-tax incomes of nearly $500,000, will gain nearly 3% (see chart 1). Households in the middle, with average income of roughly $100,000, lose more than $400"

So what you’re telling me is that when MAGA shout “he’s not my president, he’s your president too” that’s not true to the same extent…
Seven months ago, there was a big conversation about whether Trump was denying blue states FEMA aid for partisan reasons. Since May, there have been 57 more disaster relief decisions. Requests from blue states are still 2.8x more likely to be rejected than from red states.

When you make stupidity an in group requirement, you’re gonna get some brain drain
OMG. How did it ever get this bad? I don't think that the US can be fixed.

I’m shocked….. well, not that shocked
Thread 🧵: the fraudulent transgender mailers have a connection back to Dallas, Texas, where a local Republican megadonor used a similar playbook years ago when he funded a fake BLM group to send letters to wealthy white parents that were designed to discredit the BLM movement.

Standing by for the GOP to condemn this. Not holding my breath though
CBS identified Illinois based Three Z Printing as the holder of the permit associated with the fake transgender mailers. One of the owners, Matt Zerrusen, is based in Dallas. His Instagram shows pictures with Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump, and comments from local Republicans.

Small update re: the Texas Transgender Student Union mailers. Snailworks, the company that provided mail tracking services for the mailers, denies sending them but will not disclose who hired them. The NRCC spent $4,677 on Snailworks on 8/27/26. TTSU was created days later.
The "Texas Transgender Student Union" that sent out mailers, which have become a major controversy among Republicans, is a real organization — but it was only formed in September in Wyoming as an LLC and is entirely separate from TENT, the organization marketed in the fliers.

After digging into this for two days… I’m fairly certain this was done by Republicans in an effort to anger you enough to make you vote. Have we become so desperate to secure votes that we are willing to compromise our morals, values, and principles to get them? Children were sent materials explaining how to pursue emancipation from their parents and directing them to resources that could assist them with gender transitioning. We are talking about minors, including children who may already be struggling with questions about their identity, being given information about potentially life-altering decisions without their parents necessarily knowing. If anyone is willing to excuse this simply because they believe it might benefit their political side, we have a much bigger problem. Children are not political pawns. Their vulnerability should never be exploited for a vote. We cannot claim to care about protecting children while abandoning those principles whenever doing so becomes politically inconvenient. If winning requires us to compromise the very values we claim to defend, what exactly have we won? Nothing. I’m disgusted.
Interesting little slip in the trans mailers.

It's a strange rabbit hole, if you want to go down it Texas Transgender Student Union is an LLC based in Wyoming, at basically a PO box. Here's their filing with the state of Wyoming, which gives zero clues as to who is in charge
This was sent to my home. Addressed to the “students” of our family from the “Texas Transgender Student Union.” It coaches minors on what to do if their parents are not supportive of their “trans” identity and walks them through getting emancipated. THIS IS EVIL!!!!!

Remember when a purported BLM group called Dallas Justice Now sent letters to rich white people telling them not send their kids to Ivy League schools, and it turned out that Dallas Justice Now was a hoax created by Crowds on Demand at the behest of a Republican megadonor? I do!

These are from an anonymous LLC formed in Wyoming last month. Of course it’s an op!

This is some “Poland attacked Germany first” false flag level stuff. Ask yourself 2 things: How stupid do the people who sent this to “student of the ___Family” think you are to think you will believe this is real, and 2nd why do a few billionaires desperately want you focused on this vs everything else happening right now. This is America. We always believe things can get better. It is who we are. If your only message is “yeah but it could be worse”, then step aside and let some leaders have a shot.

Everything Yann said here is roughly correct, and Musk knows it, which is why he responded like a 14-year-old.
Calling @MKBHD’s video “hate” is misguided and highlights the nearly insurmountable issue the Tesla community has with criticism. There was plenty to criticize about that unveiling and I thought Marques did an incredible job. He is becoming a great force pushing against the growing movement in tech and now automotive of over promising and under delivering.

Hoping this is true and probably why the Rogers campaign is trying (and failing) to score cheap rhetorical points in town halls
