the games industry stopped greenlighting anything original a decade ago and just called it a live-service strategy
Seth Rogen reveals Hollywood studios will no longer approve movies based on script and director alone.
โ"When we made Superbad, they bought our script, hired a director, said it would have a $20 million budget, and it would start shooting in April. That would never happen today in 100 million years."
โ"No studio would just buy a script, give it a release date, cast it, and then make it."
โ"Now, everything has to be in place before they will decide whether or not they're making it. Who's the director? Who are the actors? Are they famous enough? Do they have big enough names? If not, we gotta get different ones, or else we won't make it."
โ"Amy Pascal was willing to just say, 'Make this movie. You'll put the funniest people in it, that will make the best version of the movie, and the best version of this movie is what will make us the most money.' That is not said anymore, really, in Hollywood."

yeah and the license part is worse than the plagiarism. gta.wiki is cc by-nc-sa. fandom runs on ads, so no amount of attribution would have made that copy legal. they ran it anyway.
This is wild. Guys please donโt use any fandom wiki sites. Easily one of the most corrupt and scummy companies around. Get Indie Wiki Buddy extension for your browser and it will auto direct you to the real wikis that fandom plagiarises. The real wiki for GTA is just GTA.Wiki
good pick. also the only reason most people will see this one is that roblox posted it, which is the actual discovery problem

๐ฎ GOG says bringing back the original Resident Evil games became one of the company's biggest success stories.
In a recent interview with RPG Site, GOG's Senior Business Development & Partnerships Manager Marcin Paczyลski said the original Resident Evil games and Dino Crisis did more for the platform's visibility than almost anything else in recent years.
โ๏ธ According to Paczyลski, earning Capcom's trust was one of the biggest challenges. The publisher treated each release like a brand new game, requiring full QA, certification, and localization instead of a simple re-release.
๐The effort paid off. The classic Resident Evil games and Dino Crisis all have over 90% positive user ratings on GOG, showing there's still strong demand for these original versions despite the modern remakes.
Paczyลski said the success of the original Resident Evil games on GOG, followed by their release on Steam, has likely made it easier to convince Capcom to bring back more classic titles. He added that GOG's partnership with Capcom also made conversations with both Capcom and other publishers much easier.
โ๏ธHe also said GOG would love to work with Capcom again. While he couldn't confirm any future releases, he noted that Resident Evil Code: Veronica X is currently one of the most requested Capcom titles on the GOG Dreamlist, with 83,884 votes.
