Today’s #Budget2026 brings changes that could affect stroke survivors . While there weren’t a lot of big announcements on health and care this time, there are a few announcements that may be relevant to stroke. Here’s what we see and why it matters:

This is your yearly reminder of this brilliant twitter thread that i live my life by. It's currently silly season with three kids and 'end of year' events at school - AND it's a super busy time at work. Keeping my eye on the glass balls - the plastic balls will have to wait.
One time, I was at a Q&A with Nora Roberts, and someone asked her how to balance writing and kids, and she said that the key to juggling is to know that some of the balls you have in the air are made of plastic & some are made of glass.

Maps where you’d rather not be the red country- WHO data shows the UK has high premature mortality, especially in CVD. Hanne Christensen flags that where countries spend more money on stroke care, they have better outcomes - and that advocacy for stroke is key. #ESOC2025
