Our new trading partner (Putin) just blew up a residential neighborhood near Kharkiv and killed 3 people including a kid on his scooter. But hey you guys, we're going to save $0.27 on diesel soon.

Today @databricks we're publishing a detailed analysis of techniques we used to drastically reduce our internal AI spend while aggressively growing adoption. Savings come from layering in several techniques, which combine to drive unit costs down as much as 90% in some scenarios. Tl;dr, the wins come from: 1. Shifting defaults to more efficient models, including OSS models such as GLM. Maximum intelligence models simply aren't needed for many coding tasks, and "good enough" models are quickly becoming very cheap. We shift traffic between models using Unity AI Gateway. Approximate savings: 50% or more. 2. Using smart routing to automate model selection. Routing can further squeeze efficiency by dynamically selecting the model or harness that can most efficiently execute a particular task. Our task-level routing leverages @omnigent_ai. Approximate savings: 30%. 3. Providing user visibility and adaptive budgeting. Every user can see how much they spend, and users receive hints on how to contain spend. Heavy spenders encounter progressive friction as they ratchet spend above certain levels. Approximate savings: 10%. 4. Managing context bloat by pruning tool call results and tuning harness settings. Extraneous context costs $$ and delivers no value. Tuning cache settings also help lower average token costs. Approximate savings: 10%.

The @CTOAdvisor gets it completely: thectoadvisor.com/blog/2026/… The frontier models are plenty good enough to build incredible things today. What's missing is the architecture of how we put them together - where we use frontier intelligence to build the *system we can trust* to produce the *outcomes we need*. That doesn't happen by begging an LLM to behave better in a skill, or by running ever more expensive loops trying to align the outputs. It comes from asking your agents to build that repeatable system for you, and iterating on its behavior, based on your observed opinion of the outcomes. That's what Swamp really is, if you get nerdy enough: it's an architecture for building re-usable components, composing those into complex systems that solve your problem, and adapting that automation for you over time as you learn more about what works and what doesn't.

Prawdziwy rozwój wymaga w Polsce dużych, odważnych zmian. Te zmiany to nowa polityka mieszkaniowa (robimy), nowa polityka inwestycyjna i wsparcie polskich firm (robimy). I fundamentalne: zdjęcie ogromnego garba podatkowego z pracujących, a dociążenie pseudoprzedsiębiorców (takich jak lekarz milioner Dawid Kacprzyk) i zagranicznych korporacji. Dziś, nauczyciel z pensją 10 tys. zł płaci za każdą dodatkową zarobioną złotówkę 43proc składek i podatków. A dyrektor banku z pensją 100 tys. zł (udający firmę) - 26proc. Amerykańskie big techy - 0.5-3 proc. Tak dalej nie pojedziemy. I to mówią nam ludzie.

Dzień dobry 👋 „Rosjanie, niepokoją was pożary w bazach naftowych i magazynach Wildberries. Widzę, jak bardzo przeżywacie swoje straty. Widzę, że wielu z was zbankrutowało. Widzę, że wielu nie wie, co robić dalej. Ocućcie się! Ja w [20]22 roku straciłam wszystko. Wszystko! Została mi tylko siatka i mały piesek. Żyję... i wy przeżyjecie.

One of the sites of the Russian strike in Kyiv is an ordinary nine-story residential building. One Russian missile destroyed 64 apartments. The rubble is still being cleared at the site. All relevant agencies are working. Unfortunately, there are casualties. As of now, three people have been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Seventeen people have been rescued. Russia has once again deliberately attacked ordinary civilians and residential buildings. In Kyiv, more than 130 such buildings have been damaged in total. It is important that our partners not simply stand by and watch as human lives are being destroyed. Pressure must be put on Russia, and it must be forced to end this aggression. It is very important to continue supporting our air defense. New contributions to the PURL program, active cooperation to build up our anti-ballistic defense – all of this is necessary to protect our people. Russia must be left with no opportunity to continue this terror. I thank all partners who stand with our people and are ready to help.

Kyiv was hit with a huge missile and drone attack this morning. Also this morning, another ship with 2,200 tonnes of alumina headed from Ireland to russia to build those weapons. This has to stop immediately.
Every day, ships leave this russian owned factory in Ireland straight for St Petersburg carrying thousands of tonnes of raw alumina for the war machine. There’s corruption everywhere. Locals tell me politicians are bought by oligarchs. Ireland is no longer militarily neutral.

Every sign at this refinery in Ireland is in russian. The official website is a .RU domain. There’s no reason to hide it because local politicians are openly doing it for them.

Maternity ward in Odesa. Again. The hardest was evacuating newborn twins on ventilators. When Russian Shaheds attacked, doctors moved 33 pregnant women and 19 newborns to safety in a bomb shelter. Then helped put out the fire.

Last night, the Russians launched a massive strike on Odesa. There was no military purpose whatsoever – this was pure terror against ordinary civilian life. Over 60 drones were used in the strike on the city. Sadly, there is extensive damage. Among the sites hit were a maternity hospital, ordinary residential buildings, businesses, as well as the port and critical infrastructure. Our services continue to work on the ground wherever needed, providing assistance. Tragically, as of now, one person has been reported killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. More than ten people have been wounded, including a child. There were also strikes overnight in the Poltava and Dnipro regions. Each such strike proves that Russia has no intention of ending this war. That is why any easing of pressure on it is dangerous. And coordinated efforts to protect people and lives will help us, help our country’s defense and our diplomacy. I thank all our partners who are working with us and supporting our people. We are working with everyone to give our country more strength and more capacity to protect life in Ukraine every day and every night: our cities and villages, our infrastructure. Collective defense and coordinated action can deliver the most effective results.

BREAKING: China's autonomous "killer robots" are on track to serve its military on the battlefield within two years, setting a course for a new age of AI-powered warfare which one expert called "the greatest danger to the survival of humankind." Remote forms of warfare, from drones to cyberattacks, have played an increasingly central role in this century's theatres of war. Control of the skies with unmanned aerial vehicles has been critical issue in the ongoing war in Ukraine, and last week, the U.S. Department of Defense unveiled a fresh $1 billion investment to upgrade its drone fleet. Several major powers have taken this development a step further, and begun to develop fully autonomous, AI-powered "killer robots" to replace their soldiers on the battlefield. "I would be surprised if we don't see autonomous machines coming out of China within two years," Francis Tusa, a leading defence analyst, told National Security News. He added that China was developing new AI-powered ships, submarines, and aircraft at a "dizzying rate." "They are moving four or five times faster than the States," he warned. China and Russia are already reported to have collaborated on the development of AI-powered autonomous weaponry. Per Newsweek
