.@UK_Daniel_Card looks ike PHP have released a day early.

Haven't verified
You know when you get to your desk in the morning, you see people talking about CVEs, and you think to yourself:
Sheesh. I'm going to have to go back to the hellsite (this one). And also:
My buddy Dan is surely on the case already.
Testing the POCs in the lab with Claude, whilst drinking tea! (how 2026 of me :P /S cringe)
and.... we have some interesting and useful intel.....
exploitation of these CVEs doesn't appear trivial....
"Most likely why: the authors targeted a specific build (“Ubuntu php 8.5.4 profile-21”) with hard-coded struct offsets and a build-specific address delta. Vanilla upstream 8.5.4 either doesn’t carry that exact reachable path or the heap groom depends on that build’s allocator state. I’ll also be candid: this CVE pair is described in the PoCs themselves as leaked/pre-embargo/”presumed,” and I can’t independently verify it maps to a reproducible upstream bug."

.@AXS_UK Hi there. Impressed that you emailed to say my online account was being updated.
But, there's a minor problem with the IP address that you think I was using.
Maybe reference this to your tech/cyber team.

If you’re an older dude, security cons and the community isn’t the place for you to pick up and/or groom younger girls. We should be treating the younger generation like our sons and daughters, mentoring them, not being the pervy uncle. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
What's wild about Log4Shell, for me, is that I'm now working with Devs that aren't aware that it happened.
It was only Nov '21.
But, that's getting on for 4yrs ago.
4yrs is "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.." to a Dev.
If you're looking forward to the return of the Colosseum, in Watford, I have news for you!
