Adding to my backlog list. These are games I plan to revisit/replay one day. More multiplayer games on this one for whenever the guys are free. Some modded runs, others to see what an adult me thinks as it's been a long time since I last played. Waiting for remasters for a few.
Despite me disliking how this game ended up, I find it absurd that it will not have an offline mode, especially considering it already has the means to function offline if needed. Game preservation matters, even for the less enjoyable titles. Hopefully pirates can save it.
Serebii Update: After end of service, Pokémon UNITE will enter library mode which allows for you to look at all Pokémon, Holowear etc. you own, enter Practice Mode, and look at your Trainer Achievements

Fast-food brand Wendy's is creating an official Final Fantasy-like JRPG, complete with food-themed enemies, coming to Steam soon. gamerant.com/wendyquest-fina…
Pokemon Unite announces end of service for 3/23/27. Started out good but was ruined with years of neglect from a studio that cared more about money than quality and had an incredibly toxic community. Honestly best this game dies so whoever is left can move on to better things.
We would like to share information regarding upcoming updates and events in #PokemonUNITE.

By the way Team Asano (behind FF:Resonance) has been carrying the torch for great turn based games and cool fight systems for years, and most of their portfolio is available on Steam if you want to hit those up.
Octopath Traveler
Bravely Default
Triangle Strategy (More Strategy based)
If you want more HD2D like this there's also Star Ocean 2 Remake too, which looks great. Just saying if this game is scratching that itch, there's plenty more where that came from!
I probably have 1000 hours in this game. Hated the demo but my friends forced me to play which I'm so thankful for. I have so many kills with C4 and rpgs alone. One of my favorite gaming experiences. Really miss this game.
The only issue with comparing Resonance with previous FF entries is they weren't day 1 pc release. Rebirth had been out for quite some time due to ps exclusive window which isn't exactly a fair comparison. Still, Resonance is performing very well which is nice to see.
I literally just bought the slam hammer only to find a hammer with the same stats but an ability attached. cmon man
Not gonna lie, I got a little teary eyed listening to the overworld theme of FF9 playing during the scene to acquire Zidane's vision.
I don't dictate what people should or shouldn't like. I do however find this hobby much more enjoyable when you embrace change and new concepts than replaying the same game over and over again. Too many good ideas to limit your taste to games that released 30 years ago.
I don't want anymore remakes of this scale. This feels like a one and done project. However if Square does want to go again, the only two I can see being good at this scale is FF6 and FF10. The rest I can't see working with that much expanded lore.
If you're concerned with getting spoiled by visions in FF Resonance. Just play a few games first. FF1, 2, 3, 4, 4-AY, 5, 6, 7, CC, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 11, 12, 12-RW, 13, 13-2, LR, 14, 15, 16, ReTrilogy, Tactics, TA, TA2, crystal chronicles, RoF, EoT, CB, MQ, SoP, 4HoL. Easy.

You can tell the people who were clamoring for Final Fantasy Resonance as a return to True Final Fantasy weren't actually Final Fantasy fans because now they're complaining that it spoils every Final Fantasy game lmao
So anyone remember when amazing spider man 2 came out and the general complaint was that the movie was ok but it spent too much time trying to build future storylines to the point the main plot got damaged?
Season 1 of Carrie
