As a woman in Toronto, I want a mayor who will stand up for the rights of women. I do not want a coward who will happily don a symbol of oppression of women just to win some votes with a particular community. Shame on you Olivia Chow! #IfYouWantMyXRespectMySex #TorontoMayor

Ford’s DIGITAL ID PLAN Is the Foundation of the SURVEILLANCE STATE!! The Ford government is rolling out digital IDs in Ontario, starting with the Photo Card and expanding to driver’s licences and health cards. This is being sold as convenient, secure, and cost-effective, but in reality this is the foundation of a broader surveillance system. In this video Dan Dicks of Press For Truth examines the risks: dependence on phones, exclusion of seniors and rural residents, the history of “optional” systems becoming mandatory and the potential for digital IDs to later link to banking, travel, medical records, and more. Dan also questions the promised 2027 legislation protecting paper IDs and the long-term implications once centralized digital identity infrastructure is in place. If you value privacy and physical alternatives, the message is clear: don’t opt in, stick to physical cards, and SHARE THIS VIDEO WARNING FAR AND WIDE!!

Hey. I get it! I really do. It’s the complacency and compliance of Canadian citizens that believe that this is the best that our government can do for our people. There’s ZERO reason why Canada should be as poor as we are when we live next to the number one economy in the world, and there’s ZERO reason why we shouldn’t be educating and employing our own citizens to do the jobs the government needs foreigners to do. Like.. You don’t need to ship millions of low educated people to Canada to do menial jobs. We have almost 3 million First Nations that live off our tax money, reserves, need education, and jobs, and have young students that can’t get into the workforce. Plus.. elderly that need part time work to subsidize their pensions. Especially in this economy. All of this is self-inflicted pain by the government and the people that voted for it, and it was all in the name of diversity, 3rd wave feminism, and LGBTQ agendas.

Is anyone surprised, really? “Muslim values are Canadian values” wasn’t a clear enough indicator @JayGenXer ? In a nation where inclusivity excludes accountability because calling someone out is offensive, racist, homophobic, or sexist, this is just another day in Canada 🐤

Carney flew to Ankara and signed a statement saying Canada and Turkey share "human rights, individual liberties, democracy and the rule of law." 🤦🏻‍♂️ 8 days earlier, police raided Halk TV, one of the last opposition channels, cut the live feed and put a government trustee in charge. Erdoğan's main rival, Istanbul's mayor, has been in jail since March 2025. 27 journalists locked up or awaiting trial. A comedian got almost 19 months for calling Erdoğan a "shy dictator." Over 100 people arrested in September raids on LGBT groups. Osman Kavala, 8+ years in prison, despite Europe's own human rights court ordering him freed. Asked if he raised any of it, Carney said those talks work better "not reported out in detail." Trade with them if you want. Just don't pretend they share our values. Values matter, eh? 🇨🇦

Just been there too, and it is glorious (although the turning it into a mosque was perhaps even more egregious than Hagia Sophia)

Visiting Hagia Sophia is now a miserable experience. You are restricted to the balcony, they have roped off the balustrades, they have covered up the icons in the centre, they hector you to keep moving. No longer is it a place to roam and muse within.

It's time to seriously consider that Mark Carney doesn't know what he's doing
Carney’s view of standing up for Canada appears to be making speeches and taking international trips, not fixing our own domestic policies that hurt us. torontosun.com/opinion/colum…

Here's an idea... maybe if the government wasn't involved in *damn near everything* you wouldn't be so terrified about who was in charge?
I’m deeply disappointed about this result. I’m worried about what it could mean for health care, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ people, education and Indigenous rights…I don’t believe every person who voted Conservative is hateful or unintelligent. People vote for different reasons. But a win doesn’t make a policy harmless, and we shouldn’t pretend the campaign promises… or the rhetoric surrounding them… don’t matter. The Conservatives platform promises to repeal SOGI 123, an optional set of resources schools use to support students and address bullying related to sexual orientation and gender identity. It also promises to repeal DRIPA… B.C.’s framework for bringing the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples into provincial law. Those choices put queer and trans students inclusion and reconciliation at risk. In 2024, Conservative candidate Marina Sapozhnikov used a racist slur to describe Indigenous people and made the baseless claim that 90% of Indigenous people use drugs. During this election, Conservative candidate Mike Hicks said First Nations needed to be “conquered.” Both incidents were condemned by Indigenous leaders. These words carry the weight of a violent colonial history, and political parties must be held accountable. On health care, the platform budgets $205 million a year at full cost for its promise to protect universal care and improve access. It also promises publicly funded treatment through another qualified provider if surgical wait benchmarks are exceeded. That raises real questions about how expanded care outside the public system could affect public staffing and access. What’s been hardest to watch is how hatred, scapegoating and misinformation have been pushed into the mainstream as “common sense.” Far right talking points have made it easier to treat our neighbours rights, identities and histories as threats. That should alarm all of us…I’m not saying every Conservative voter is stupid… you can’t judge one person’s intelligence by their vote, and research can’t explain why any one person voted the way they did. But studies do show a pattern, on average, between lower cognitive test scores and stronger socially conservative and authoritarian views. In a climate full of fearmongering and misinformation, critical thinking matters more than ever… question the talking points and check the facts… And to the Conservative supporters all over social media right now, gloating, mocking people and telling them to “cry harder”… your side won. If your first instinct in victory is to become even crueler, that says far more about your character than it does about anyone you defeated…People are genuinely afraid for their health care, their schools, their rights, their families and their safety. Treating that fear like entertainment isn’t strength, patriotism or political debate. It’s a complete failure of basic human decency…You got the result you wanted. Try showing some humility and humanity. Do better. Be better. An election victory is a mandate to govern… it is not permission to strip people of their dignity, erase their history or treat their rights as negotiable…Human rights are not privileges handed out by whichever political party happens to hold power. Indigenous history doesn’t disappear because the truth makes people uncomfortable. Queer and trans kids don’t become less deserving of safety because adults have turned their existence into a culture war. Women’s equality is not settled enough to be taken for granted, and health care and education should never be sacrificed to satisfy an ideology…To everyone who feels frightened, angry or abandoned by this result… you are not alone. There are still people who see you, stand beside you and will fight like hell for you. I refuse to accept cruelty as “common sense.” I refuse to let misinformation become truth simply because it was repeated loudly enough. You won an election. You did not win the right to decide whose humanity matters.

Seems that Carney's decisions since becoming Prime Minister mirrors those of Erdogan.
Canada is losing its morality. According to @freedomhouse "Erdoğan controls all executive functions, often rules by decree, and makes all major policy decisions. Since 2016, he has overhauled Turkey’s ministries and agencies, purging tens of thousands of civil servants and replacing them with political loyalists". Thats just the tip of the iceberg. Listen now to my latest conversation with Professor Braun on Canada's cozying up to Erdogan and what it means for the future of our country: agpiworld.com/state-of-affai… @CdnPressNews @CanadaFP @CanadianPM @Canada
