Good win for the Cavs but they are still really struggling closing out games. They are not a very good fundamentals team.
But Mitchell bailed them out and Mobley was great. I’ll take it.
James Harden for those years and that amount of money will be the biggest regret of this offseason.
We already knew that but apparently the Cavs didn’t. He’s washed, cooked, finished.
I just noticed the Cavs changed the announcements of the starting lineup and now announce Donovan Mitchell last.
I’m shocked it took that long.
I also understand that there’s a grace period of about half a second given after the play clock hits zero. I’ve also seen Watson not get that grace period.
End of the day, the officials missed calls on both teams late in that game. Maybe cover Harold Fannin next time 🤷♂️
This and Judkins second TD were probably my favorite play calls of the game. Two excellent designs by Monken in crucial situations.
Btw, just look at Spencer Fano do his thing on this one.
Happy Victory Monday!
As we turn the page to Pittsburgh, I view this game as the Browns midterm exam. If they can go into Pittsburgh and win for the first time in 23 years in the regular season and sweep the Steelers in the process, there’s no more questioning how real this is.
The Browns are now entering a world where they should draft a quarterback in the first round, but now they won’t have to rush him on to the field.
Whether it would be Watson on a restructured deal or another veteran, they can be more patient and I didn’t see that coming.
I was standing on the field for the Titans 4th down on their last drive and can confirm the actual play clock, not the tv clock, was at zero for nearly two seconds. It was as obvious a delay of game as you can have.
Would’ve been 4th-and-14 and a likely punt. Let’s call it even.
Cleveland's long late gain by TE Harold Fannin Jr. should have been nullified by a blatant false start. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…
And the hilarious part is, if you just take out the first eight minutes of the game where they inexplicably went down 14-0, the Browns outscored the Titans 27-10 and controlled the game how we wanted.
It’s in there, they’re capable, but the slow starts are killing them.
Winning in the NFL is really hard, especially on the road, doesn’t matter the opponent. And because of that you take all the wins you can get.
But, man, if this team doesn’t make it extremely hard on themselves week in and week out and yet 5-2 is 5-2.
