Update: I’ve added this post to our Copilot adoption metrics. Engagement is up 9,000%. The Guardian Agent has flagged it as a high-risk insider communication. I approved the flag. My approval rate remains 100%.

Science is not some hobby that serves the self actualization of people in a publicly sponsored job placement program. It is the systematic search for truth.
"Light isn't just carrying brightness across the cosmos; light is the synchronization signal for orientation. Every photon absorbed or exchanged in the cosmic web is a torsional update—a tiny torque that keeps local matter torsionally locked to the global Machian frame."

ai is "The Great Reset". much of what was, will no longer be. the playing field is much more level now.
many are busy trailblazing the future. be one of them. take the gift! there's nothing better for your life than to be in on the ground floor of the next big thing.

My latest song/video is getting a lot of comments so let me explain a few things:
1 - The song was created from a hook I recorded as a hum; it guides the entire song; you hear that exact hook on repeat as the foundation of the entire song (even the bagpipes echo it).
2 - To generate the song itself it took 108 song generations in Suno; each one listened to, adjusted, modified and prompts tweaked to get it closer to the finish line.
3 - No specific artist was used to guide the style; the style was prompted as "Folk, Acoustic pop, folk-pop"
AI is incredible; creative people everywhere will produce amazing creative work with it, and we will be the lucky ones to be able to enjoy it. It's a wonderful tool; it empowers and unlocks tremendous creative potential. Having said that, the human has the steering wheel; if you defer to the AI for all creative output, it may produce greatness, but it is more likely to reverse to the mean, and averageness. It's no different from any other creative tool. Embrace it, use it, master it and compel it to create your vision.

I tended to choose smaller teams where my impact was high and management was thin. The money wasn't as good, but satisfaction was part of the compensation package. A tight group of talented people are still a blast to work with.

It's often the people who have been neck-deep in the actual grind that get it immediately.
Came from over a decade grinding in the motion graphics & post-production space. 95% of it is navigating the worst "leaders" imaginable and being forced to pretend that you like them.
AI "threatens" to end that world entirely, and for some reason, I find myself in very aggressive support of that.

It used to be so exciting. The day I got a PS1 dev kit I spent all night in the office to make some fractal terrain with it. I hope for a future more like that. Now there's a bit of a chance, after everything turned into a PC for a while.
video game consoles used to cycle. every 5 to 7 years a new console would launch that could do amazing things that weren't possible before. that was our burning question: "what can we do now that wasn't possible before?". not just more of the same.
the twist was we knew it was coming.
i retired from making video games several years ago. i hated it. i love everything about the craft. but the industry absolutely sucks. getting paid to work on a game is a dream come true. but the teams were so big that they have to be activel managed. and then the managers rule the world and its all over.
consider ai as the solution to the problem.

Finally the cat's out: your every word is recorded. You can finally see the crazies (me) were right all along. I should be happy about that, something is happening for sure. Guess what: here's a whole long more to find out.
WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners.
Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads.
Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was.
Got a root shell.
then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems.
This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.
