Who are the best accounts that give a view that is not hindsight driven, not just the trend did this, not this is happening, or it could go up or down, that gives an honest forward outlook for equity markets?

Life Tips:
1. most things in life can be modeled by (# of attempts * baseline appeal). the key is to increase your number of attempts while also ramping your baseline appeal.
2. the best way to ramp your baseline appeal is to copy someone else successful bc you have no idea what works and what doesn't
3. the best way to increase your number of attempts is to either cut your cash burn or raise a lot of money
4. the best way to raise money is to do big things. doing really large things is appealing bc large projects have roughly the same fixed costs (travel, legal, etc) as small projects and society is fixated on hyper gambling so likes to deploy against 10,000x outcomes that have a .1% chance of success.
5. most industries are zero sum and so people will just straight up lie to you about what worked for them which is the only reason why mentorship is important. a mentor is a person who knows how to play zero sum games and will teach you
6. chances are you know exactly what you like doing and almost never do it. most guys get depressed after they break up bc they stop doing stuff they like, not necessarily bc their partner is gone
7. you can force rank everything in your life as:
a. how addictive it is
b. how much you enjoy it
divide a/b = appeal score
if you linearly increase the stuff with high appeal score chances are you will be happier
8. "do what you love" is good advice but expecting to love every day is how you get burned out. in fact, when you do what you love chances are your average day is probably pretty bad which is why #7 is important
9. if you don't like having sex with someone and you don't have kids don't date them for long, and definitely don't marry them. sounds obvious but is a constant own-goal
10. society is probably fucked. doesn't mean you're fucked. but it means that most every piece of advice you read is resulting in the aggregage. for example: everyone is fat. that means in aggregate our society's dieting advice doesn't work. you're best finding advice that works outside of mentors from specialist groups (like bodybuilding forums) where ppl are accountable to results not from academia where ppl are accountable to political agendas and politics
11. the world isn't fair. the reason you go to college is to get unfair deal flow, access, and relationships. this is the same reason you live in SF. the story that you can do anything anywhere is wrong. because society is an oligopoly the only functional way to get ahead if you are of average skill is to play the game
12. but the only way to make convex returns is to play a somewhat less crowded game, while accessing unfair "game mechanics". unfair game mechanics are tax, capital access, and proximity to power and information flow
13. this isn't true if you're generally talented but if you're reading this you probably aren't
14. most things are indexed too much on the last 2-3 years and not enough on where the puck is likely going. everyone wanted to become an investment banker in 2006, that career functionally ended in 2008. people became consultants. now AI is destroying that path. When you overindex on herd dynamics you get trampled.
15. the only real fixed rule of governments and oligopolies is that they will always get bigger regardless of the societal cost. given the size of the government right now and inflationary pressures, as well as birth rate dynamics - it's very likely that the world as you know it is over. that is to say, the society you live in now will not exist in 20 years. functionally - that means you need to get out or find a way to escape the system
16. this means that life is a balancing act between game theory optimality per some of the "gaming the system" points above, combined with a coherent capital management strategy to escape the system
17. doing this alone is foolhardy - it makes a lot of sense to find a group of people you relate to and understand the above who are a "mastermind group" - peers who elevate you to perform better and escape the permanent underclass (if that's your thing). or enjoy it together

Some say
all that matters
is timing
and the confluence
of opportunity
fate and circumstance
When ai replaces jobs
the plumber
nurse
mechanic
professional whiner
may be last to notice
the final wealth transfer
as it commences
in the shadows
while
the market
metals
dogs wif hats
all race to infinity
what can we do
but ride the waves
of the time and place
we fell into
dopamine machines
with the audacity
to assume
the whole circus
breaks
beyond repair
before we do

What if someone out there found the Voyager Golden Record? I’ve been fascinated by that idea forever. Now, for my first GenAI short film, I decided to explore it.
I’m excited to share "Pulse"—an homage to the Golden Record, our planet, our music, and the cosmos.

“there’s too much gambling here!”
you are severely underestimating how much gambling was necessary for not just America, but mankind.
taking a running leap off Kitty Hawk, digging for oil and gold in the dirt, getting on a boat to the New World was all gambling.
go look up how they filled Judas’ seat and say there’s too much gambling.
