COCKS: SWAMP THINGS After three conference losses some South Carolina fans were ready to run Shane Beamer outta town. Then the Gamecocks went into The Swamp and dominated Florida. Beamer stressed to me this week that he believed they'd played good football all year, but struggled with consistency and discipline. In his estimation, they beat themselves a lot. But nobody panicked. Against the Gators they showed consistency, and secured 3 takeaways for the first time all season. "It was a brutal three weeks," he told me. "But we have great kids and this program never wavered." Huge test today against Tennessee.
