"Ninth Vestibule" – Short, Sunday afternoon generative ambient piece. I'm pretty happy with the combination of sounds I can get out of my small, 104hp case these days. It feels very focused and playable.

Created this little Rhodes-top looping set up with the Norns mlre script and the TR-06 on drums. I haven’t really messed around with loopers much before. It’s a lot of fun!

Experimenting with just intonation on the Teletype to create generative melodies by independently cycling through small values (multiples of 2, 3, and 5) for the numerators and denominators of frequency ratios.

Musical discovery for the evening. Cycle through the modes of a major scale: Lydian, then Ionian (b4), Mixolydian (b7), Dorian (b3), Aeolian (b6), Phrygian (b2), then Locrian (b5). The next natural step is a “b1” which gives Lydian again a half-step down from where you started.
Another Saturday’s worth of patching resulted in something like a full track that I was pretty happy with. Ambient again, but this time with some more experimental textures and timbres.

I recently modified my Rhodes by adding an internal Retro Flyer amp and it has really brought it to life. So much fun to play. Run it through the Shallow Water chorus and Space Echo and I could get lost here for days.
