Public safety will always come first for Governor @GlennYoungkin:

I've been listening to the first hour of Morning Edition on @wamu885... and there's absolutely no local news, much like yesterday. It's a disservice to the listening public in the Washington region, and they have the right to know what happened to their "local" NPR station.

The issue with accessing DCist’s extensive archives absolutely has to be addressed. You know how much history is covered there? And all the links to those stories are now being redirected. It’s not just not ideal, it’s an actual disservice to the public.
The demise of DCist and contracting of WAMU is a disservice for readers, listeners, policymakers and the entire D/M/V.
Ex: @margaretbarthel’s data center coverage has been essential public policy reporting. Now, we can’t even access *archived* stories, let alone expect new ones.
