I think it’s actually good to oversimplify things: this is happening because Columbia’s portfolio is profiting too much off of genocide for them to care what students and factually wants or thinks.
journalists and media, take note: THIS is how you report on current events. by being honest about what's happening, and by being brave enough to share what you know.
