ALT Hubble observation using blue filters. Densely packed stars are peppered throughout the center of the image in tones of blue. A supernova blast creates a blue veil-like structure through the image.

ALT Hubble observation using red filters. An assembly of stars congregates to the right of the image. A small blob of brightly burning blue stars is seen to the far right of that. A bunching of red stars in the center-right reveal the position of stars running out of fuel. Another angle of the supernova blast creates a red veil-like structure.

ALT On flight day 13 of the Artemis I mission, Orion captured this view of Earth and the Moon on either sides of one of the spacecraft’s four solar arrays. The spacecraft, Earth, and Moon, appear against the blackness of space. The Orion spacecraft is mostly white and grey and the solar array extends from the European Service Module. Thrusters can be seen on the underside of the spacecraft. Earth appears as a blue and white swirling orb. The Moon appears half-full. Credit: NASA
