ITV pulling zero punches in this incredible footage - "This landscape of destruction looks otherworldy, but it's not, it's this world - What is happening may come to define one of its darkest eras, one that casts a stain on humanity, which will endure for generations" #Gaza

I truly could not believe that Dr. Alaa al-Najjar’s nine children were charred, severely mutilated, until I watched an interview a minute ago with her brother-in-law describe it. He was the first one to arrive at the scene.
He said the youngest child was 6 months old. Her name was Sidra.
The father himself remains in critical condition.

“Dr Alaa al-Najjar watched with her own eyes as the charred bodies of her seven children were pulled from beneath the rubble – while two remain missing – all while she was on duty at Nasser medical complex.”
The two missing children were later confirmed killed. The first two photos are of Dr. al-Najjar’s only surviving child, Adam, 11yo.
The third photo is of Dr. al-Najjar and her husband, Dr. Hamdi al-Najjar, who also remains in critical condition.

These images from Gaza today are beyond the most apocalyptic of imaginations. There are no buildings standing but the rubble keeps being bombed because among the rubble human beings are still moving and falling, with nowhere to go

“If I die, I want a resounding death. I do not want me in urgent news, nor in a number with a group. I want a death that the world hears, an effect that remains for the extent of the ages, and immortal images that neither time nor space buries."

Gaza has become a “mass grave” for Palestinians and those helping them.
Israeli forces are systematically destroying Palestinian life and showing a blatant disregard for the safety of humanitarian and medical workers:

I was at Nasser Hospital in #Gaza when it was bombed today. One of my patients, a 17-year-old boy, was killed. He would have gone home tomorrow. If I had been changing his dressings, as I planned to this evening, I probably would have been killed too. Attacking hospitals is a war crime, and it needs to stop.

After a Palestinian guest on CBC speaks about the genocide in Gaza, the host stresses that “we cannot use that word to describe what is happening.” The inability of Canadian newsrooms to accurately name what is right before our eyes is destroying the credibility of journalism.

After 9 months of displacement, Mohamed Gharib returns to his home. The view outside, at around 52 seconds, shows an unfathomable devastation - it is right there for us to see, we have seen it for 15 months and still it’s devastation your mind cannot begin to comprehend.

Horrors upon horrors continue out of Gaza, courtesy Israel. A girl, her arm blown off, her lifeless face and body covered in blood and dust. Her brother sits over her, shaking her body.

Israel is still bombing the displaced in their tents.
There is such an unspeakable cruelty in teasing the cessation of bombardment only to continue it, without restraint, in the last few days before the agreement goes into effect.
