The @mgmtconfig project is trying to convince the amazing @dgryski project to send the patch for us! Having said that, it does *not* mean we think he's a tool! Just a great golang hacker!

This is what it takes to covert an go-fuzz style Fuzz function to the new integrated fuzzer. As I said, so easy a tool could do it.

I like how Justin talks about time as the important factor. It's a key piece of making IaC/etc relevant: It's important that we model our infrastructure with the time component. Without time, we're only looking at snapshots. Infrastructure moves and breathes! =D @mgmtconfig

Mike is now at @EpicGames where he'll surely have a big positive impact there too. I don't know what their Linux plans are, but I do know he's out making gaming better for everyone, and in the meantime the Epic store runs fairly well under Wine.

Does anyone familiar with #golang and frontend web code (specifically golang->wasm) want to pair program with me for an hour or so as I work out the boilerplate of something new and cool in #mgmtconfig?

Would you be interested in a stand-alone provisioning product? (It would also integrate seamlessly with #mgmtconfig of course.) Eg: magically easy setup of new hardware from your laptop. Think deploying new servers or laptops w/o USB keys or mice. Reply yes/no/etc please =D

Writing new resources in #mgmtconfig is really great fun! It's a lovely mix of programming, systems engineering, design, and system internals. Just finishing off a new one now and I have ideas for at least two more that I should write soon. Get involved and be the lead on one!

In #mgmtconfig, @HerrSpace found a bug via fuzzing! Thanks Patrick! It's now patched! github.com/purpleidea/mgmt/c… If you look closely, you'll see a bunch of different reasons this was very interesting! And choosing the *right* fix was interesting too.
