On the August 4 Port Blast investigation:
Minister of Justice Adel Nassar announces that the final indictment decision will be issued by end of October at the latest.
This will be a huge milestone for the investigation, after which trials should begin.

Agree with @HeshamAlghannam: the Mecca agreement is more understandable in what it seeks to prevent than in what is seeks to build. It’s a cornerstone of a containment strategy directed at Iran and its allies, and at Israel, and an affirmation that regional security must be “Arabic and Islamic,” as opposed to American or, as some have argued, Israeli.
سؤال ونقطة مهمة تتكرر منذ الأمس في مصادر غربية وشرقية أن اتفاق مكة يمثل محورا سنيا جديدا يختلف عن ما تمثله إيران وإسرائيل؟
أرى أن الإجابة هي نعم، ولكن مع تحفظ جوهري مهم، اتفاق مكة أقرب إلى أن يكون محورا تقوده دول ذات أغلبية مسلمة، وليس محورا سنيا صرفا، تركيا وباكستان، والسعودية، تتحرك ضمن اعتبارات تتجاوز الانقسام المذهبي والطائفي.

Military units continue to carry out their missions in the southern areas, including the towns of Froun (Bint Jbeil District) and Srifa (Tyre District).
