Monthly checks to every state party, starting early, red states too. A Southern States Resource Hub. After historically writing off the South, that's what @KenMartin73 and @TheDemocrats built this cycle. @iamwesmoore named the mistake. This DNC fixed it. abcnews.com/Politics/gov-wes…

.@teddyschleifer Your own story says Republicans are now spending to defend seats they once counted as safe red. That's the DNC's state party strategy working. The RNC started moving this money 2 months ago, and the polls have only moved our way since. I know who I'd rather be.

.@iarnsdorf says Republicans counted on money to save them, but after spending half a billion dollars, the polls didn't move. That's what saving it for the end gets you. @KenMartin73 spent early, on @DemStateParties and organizers. The last four weeks belong to @TheDemocrats.

Don't look now, but the DNC is doing truly good things: 1) strong investments in local organizing that is paying dividends in elections; 2) setting a diverse primary calendar to truly battle test our nominees; 3) and pushing back on bad establishment ideas.

I've always said that the DNC is the road that the cars—our state parties—drive upon. Without roads, cars can't get anywhere. That's why having permanent infrastructure to support state parties is so important. It allows candidates to do more with the money that they raise.

For the first time, @kenmartin73 pledged to finish his term as DNC Chair no matter what happens in the Midterms. “I intend to complete the term and do my part to change the culture of this organization and also this town,” he told me. Over the past 19 months, we’ve increased the DNC’s investments to our state parties so they can build the infrastructure necessary to win. It’s paying off.

Thx @TerryMcAuliffe. I would tag all the pundits, outside group heads, etc but you know who you are...we are a team. One candidate strategy or stance on an issue doesn't make them a bad Dem because they don't agree with you 💯-- it's our strength. We are a coalition of regions and issues.
WISE WORDS FROM @TerryMcAuliffe: "I have a message for all of those geniuses out there who constantly go on TV and twitter, democrats trashing fellow democrats, I have a simple message: knock it off or get off the playing field. We have too much work to do!"

The DNC met in Austin last week, and three things happened worth your time. The ranked choice voting ban is dead. "Abolish ICE" is our official position. And we confirmed a six-state early window that includes Nevada & New Mexico. Read my DNC Re-Kapp: mdkapp.substack.com/p/dnc-re…

Before a single state applied, the DNC agreed on three tests: is it rigorous, is it fair, is it efficient? The whole early window should look like our Party, not a piece of it. I'm proud to have made some small impact on this historic & diverse calendar. Now let's go win. 🖐️☝️
IT’S OFFICIAL: The DNC has voted to confirm the early window states for the 2028 Democratic presidential nominating process. These states reflect the diversity of America and will help ensure our nominee is best positioned to take back the White House in 2028.

BREAKING: the Democratic National Committee unanimously approved a resolution calling for the abolition of ICE! After terrorizing our friends, families, and neighbors, ICE has no place in our nation. I'm grateful the DNC agreed. Now we're onto the hard work to make that happen!

I sit on the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee and I oppose banning ranked choice voting in the presidential primary. I moved to let the states whose laws require RCV be heard. That motion failed. This Saturday, I'll vote to strip the ban. Thank you @jamie_raskin for your leadership.
🧵 THREAD: I’ve been traveling across America campaigning for truly wonderful and surging Democratic candidates for Congress–most recently Blake Gendebien (NY-21), Chris Gallant (NY-01), Eugene Vindman (VA-07), Dan Schwartz (MD-01), and Pat Halpin (NY-02). Next up for me are campaigns in the Southwest, Midwest and Deep South. The energy out there is phenomenal. One skeptical question I sometimes get on the road is about the “party apparatus” and whether it has lost touch with the Democratic grassroots engaged in the fight against Trump and MAGA. I try to assure people that our party leaders are working hard to bolster all the sensational action taking place at the state and local level. But that particular job may get a lot harder depending on what happens this weekend at the DNC meeting in Austin. Let me explain.
