After over 150 hours I finally got a unique meal dialog 😭 I was starting to think they didn't exist. Have i just been picking the wrong pairs??? I've always done those that support each other... Do they both need to love it or something for it to trigger?

Mapping things more i think it also solidifies Almyra as a general stand in for the various historic nomadic iranic groups that grew into an empire, as the western edge of Almyra starts in modern Ukraine, which is part of the Eurasian steppe and was occupied by the Scythians.

At the time of FW they are still largely described as being ruled by nomadic clans with little central government, which is basically the scythians. I guess their Achaemenid moment happens later? Its fun how the history of the post-apocalypse is "we'd do it all over again"

So like. Having been spoiled on what Vandahl's sprite looks like Fefw spoilers// . . . I suspect that Talimun isn't Vandahl's bio son because Vandahl also looks very pale. But. Drake...is brown Anyways I think realizing Maria is his mother also came with that realization

Yeah ok Talimun definitely doesn't know who she is yet. He probably figures it out over the course of the game. So funny he doesn't try to mention his mom around Maria even though she too is beautiful and has a vihuela. I guess he didn't expect his mother to be white

Fefw spoilers// . . . We know Talimun looks like his father from Maria saying so. Its ultimately called Drake's treasures. Not Vandahl's. I think a lot of people have mixed up the 2, but maybe that ambiguity of who did what is on purpose. I want to see the timeline of events

I think it adds layers to Mu being on Leda's team, while Leda is pursuing revenge over her own happiness as her father wanted her to. In the same way while Mikaela wants Mu to live a life free of violence, Mu wants to find her own way to both Mikaela and Leda's chagrin

The way Mikaela talks about herself makes me so sad. She left that life and tried to live a more "normal" life but even after 14 years of trying that and only 5 years of killing, she still can't escape the life of violence. After it, nothing she does feels real enough.

The women that Mu most admires are those that want Mu to be the least like them. Neither are wrong for wanting to deter Mu, but I think its important for Mu's admiration and refusal to see them purely for their failures to remind them of what they should be proud of too
