Hard to swallow pill: If bitcoin isn’t used as money and doesn’t get adopted for payments, then it’s just a fancy Ponzi scheme Finding use cases and onboarding new users are much more important than finding new narratives to make the price go up.

stablecoin providers and onramps will end up being the two biggest businesses in crypto issuing money and selling access to it

Replying to @EliBenSasson
Agreed. Effortless is the only path to adoption. We're building @arctico_io to make accepting crypto for digital products actually effortless. If someone needs to read docs or watch tutorials to sell a $10 template, crypto won't reach mass adoption. It has to be simple.

the way to restore perception isn't marketing. it's building what crypto was actually meant for. bitcoin's whitepaper described peer-to-peer electronic cash. not a speculative asset. not an investment vehicle. a payment system that works without banks, without intermediaries, without surveillance. the vision was: you send money directly to someone. no middleman takes a cut. no institution can freeze the transaction. no platform tracks what you bought. financial transactions that are actually private and permissionless. but most "crypto" today doesn't deliver on any of that. payment processors still require full kyc. platforms still track every transaction. users still need permission to access basic financial services. we built complex defi protocols and nft marketplaces but forgot to build the simple stuff: payment infrastructure normal people can actually use. here's what actually changes perception: - merchants accepting crypto without uploading their passport - customers buying digital products without their data being harvested - cross-border payments that clear in seconds, not days - commerce that can't be censored by payment processors build tools that solve real problems. make them simple enough that your mom could use them. prove that crypto enables things web2 fundamentally can't. that's how you change minds. not with hype. with utility. @arctico_io
top priority right now should be restoring public perception of crypto

The one thing that will drive mass adoption won’t be DeFi, or payments, or gaming, or prediction markets, or social identity, or any other ONE single use case. No. It will be the secret spice we add to all of them: Empowering individuals to be in full control of what’s theirs. Or in short: Freedom.

This is exactly why we're building private payment infrastructure @arctico_io. Your customers shouldn't have their transaction history tracked just to buy something.
Fungibility thrives only when privacy is default. Without it, your money is just a traceable asset open to censorship and surveillance.

or you're using it for censorship resistance, permissionless access, and privacy that web2 fundamentally can't provide. decentralization isn't the only reason. try accepting payments on web2 without kyc or the ability to freeze funds
Blockchains are needed only if you're aiming for decentralization. If you're not aiming for decentralization, then you're just using a very complex and cumbersome technology to achieve something that can be done on web2. Thank you.

You should be able to sell your work to the world without being tracked, censored, or deplatformed. This shouldn't be a radical position.

Another problem no one talks about: Big "companies" building crypto "infrastructure" aren't focused on expanding crypto to mainstream. They're farming the people already here. That's why we see new token launchpads every week, new trading terminals with the same interface, just promoted by different influencers who are easy to buy and have an audience of degens. They're not solving problems. They're rebranding the same product over and over to extract money from people already in the space.
🚨WARNING BY ETHEREUM FOUNDER Vitalik Buterin says if crypto becomes 100% speculation with no real use and people are only gambling, “THIS INDUSTRY WILL DIE.”

People think Crypto Payments = Privacy, but that's not how it works. Most payment gateways require KYC, track every transaction, and collect customer data just like traditional processors. Using crypto doesn't fix privacy problems if the gateway is tracking everything.
Sell templates. Sell software. Sell courses. Sell subscriptions. Your sales data shouldn't be everyone's business. Neither should your customers' data. Arctico - SELL PRIVATE. 🧊

Monero $XMR, the greatest currency ever, sits at $8.5B cap. It is the only asset to combine digitalization, decentralization, and privacy. You will hold it alongside nationstates, billionaires, industry leaders, revolutionaries, dissidents, and the unseen architects of the world.

A retailer using transparent blockchain reveals: what they're buying, from whom, how much, how often. Competitors get free market research. Privacy crypto lets businesses use blockchain without turning their operations into open data.
Privacy-first crypto could open doors to entirely new economic models we haven’t even imagined yet.

crypto working like normal money = the entire point still so much room to build in this direction
I gotta say, when you turn money in your @phantom into an @Uber ride… it really doesn’t feel like crypto anymore. Especially magic with the new card and cash. It just shows up…. like it’s actually money! Useful.

10% + $0.50 per transaction? If I'm a freelancer selling $10 templates, I should give Gumroad $1.50 for every sale? This should be fixed.

we are building privacy solutions for merchants @arctico_io
we will inevitably need more non financial apps we already have a few cool things like: - identity protocols - reputation primitives - privacy use cases but we need way more
