OSSOFF: If youโre late with your rent, the machinery of late fees and eviction is very efficient. But when you tell your landlord about the black mold in your daughterโs bedroom, nobody comes for four months. And then, when youโve got to take her to the hospital for her asthma attack, you get a $3,000 bill for the ambulance.
Life was already hard enough before Donald Trump lied us into war, before his tariffs made everything more expensive, and before he doubled your health insurance premiums and slashed Medicaid.
It costs more today than ever before in American history to fill up your truck, to stock your fridge, to power your home, to go to the doctor.
Meanwhile, and youโve seen it, the president and the first family line their pockets to the tune of billions of dollars.
The time has come to wield the power granted to us by our Constitution and rebuke this obscenity.

Social Security does not add to the deficit. So when republicans talk about cutting social security to reduce the deficit what they are really talking about is stealing from the American peopleโs retirement to pay war debts, oil company subsidies, and tax cuts for the rich. Donโt ever let them fucking steal what we pay for.

BREAKING: Pentagon prepares every major US military base to operate for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, anticipating a major war that could cripple power grids, break global supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on US soil, per Fox News.
The plans include portable nuclear reactors, large-scale battery storage and microgrids able to disconnect installations from the civilian electrical grid entirely.

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red.
Letโs break that down.
Can Nicki Minaj vote? No.
Sheโs not a U.S. citizen.
Can Nicki Minajโs husband vote? No, heโs a registered sex offender.
Can Nicki Minajโs brother vote? No, heโs serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault.
She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

I am indeed upset to see DOJ politicized in this way. Non-citizens most certainly should not vote, but the Justice Department should stay out of politics and stick to law. DOJ represents the United States of America, not a political party.

โThere is not in Europe any such thing as a pure race. Russians have an admixture of Tartar blood, Germans are largely Slavonic, France is a mixture of Celts, Germans, and people of Mediterranean race, Italy the same with the addition of the descendants of slaves from every corner of the Empire imported by the Romans. The English are perhaps the most mixed of all. There is no evidence that there is any advantage in belonging to a pure race. The purest races now in existence are the Pygmies, the Hottentots, and the Australian aborigines; the Tasmanians, thanks to the British, who were probably even purer are now extinct. There is a special absurdity in applying racial theories to the various populations of Europe.โ

During 2022-2025, at least 21 states have directed nearly $500 million to "crisis-pregnancy centers," which are generally non-medical or faith-based nonprofits. This expansion of funds happened without any real oversight. CPCs are generally NOT licensed healthcare providers, nor are they staffed by licensed physicians OR subject to HIPAA health-privacy regulations.
CPCs don't provide medical care like prenatal checkups, labor/delivery care, or STI treatments.
Studies show these funds don't lower maternal mortality or improve clinical health metrics compared to investing directly in Medicaid, community health centers, or OB-GYN access.
Because CPCs are usually registered as non-profit, faith-based charities instead of licensed healthcare facilities, they don't fall under standard health facility licensing or medical oversight boards.
So basically, our budgets are subsidizing an ideological charity infrastructure with no empirical data to support they are a better use of funds than just funding real, actual healthcare for pregnant women.
Let's take North Carolina for example: It's a state that leans red. They gave over $10 million to non-medical, faith-based CPCs at the same time that an established, evidence-based program called the Nurse-Family Partnership (which sends registered nurses to low-income, first-time mothers) LOST their state funding. For context, North Carolina's own Health Department didn't even ask for or recommend giving state dollars to CPCs.
I just want to reiterate that the latest literature in public health and maternal health studies show no evidence that funding CPCs directly improves clinical outcomes like maternal mortality rates, infant mortality rates, or low birth weights.
On the flip side, direct investments in Medicaid expansion, community health centers, and certified OB-GYN care have definitive, documented, positive impacts on reducing maternal morbidity and mortality.
What's the purpose of funding a bunch of fake health clinics? Who benefits from this? Where's the oversight and what are these millions of dollars actually being funneled to? Why can't we use those funds to subsidize actual healthcare for pregnant women?

So the trump regimeโs bullshit about annexing Greenland or making Canada the 51st state were just shiny objects designed to distract from their true endgame: Giving Alaska to Russia. Putinโs installation of trump to destroy us from the inside has worked beyond his wildest dreams.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

Trump swaggered into Georgia right before the midterms, breathlessly announcing a huge new Audi factory, a massive win for the state he claimed. Here's the receipt: Audi had absolutely no such announcement, no plans to build a plant in Georgia, and no knowledge of this supposed commitment. This wasn't just campaign exaggeration; it was a bald-faced fabrication, invented out of thin air just days before an election, banking on voters not checking if a major international corporation actually agreed to a multi-billion dollar investment during a political rally. It perfectly illustrates how quickly reality gets benched for a headline grab, promising prosperity that only exists in a speech bubble, all while the people who supposedly value "truth" never question the actual facts. thehill.com/homenews/state-wโฆ
