The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake Art Director Aya Shida confirms the game's design was inspired to be like a puppet show!
"To help the team understand what we were aiming for, early in development we used phrases like “a puppet-show feel” and “the analog feel of practical effects films” as keywords.
Neither puppet shows nor practical effects films reproduce reality exactly as it is. Even so, both create a convincing sense that the characters truly exist within their respective fantasy worlds. We also felt that there was some overlap between these forms of expression and the distinctive nostalgia evoked by the original game."

Ocarina of Time already had fast travel.
Ocarina of Time remake nearly had fast travel, but Nintendo removed it.
Eiji Aonuma revealed that he asked devs to add fast-travel similar to Breath of the Wild, so players could move around Hyrule more quickly.
But after trying it out, the team realised that fast travel made players miss small discoveries and interesting things along the way.
“We were missing out on the moments of discovery that came from stopping along the way and wondering, ‘Wait, what’s this?’”
He removed the feature because on-foot exploration is key to the original experience.

Marinette goes to a school filled with the children of astronauts, model moguls, politicians, rock stars, archeologists, etc, and no way in hell that place is public... plus her parents own a bakery IN PARIS that is known among people of high social status and she has a famous cook uncle and a grandmother that seemed to travel A LOT!
No, she was way above upper middle class.
And Miles in the comics, if I remember correctly, his father was actually I shit you not a secret agent with speaking terms to Nick Fury, so... yeah, neither of them comes from humble, and that's okay, nothing wrong with that. Just don't lie and say otherwise.
