The lowest federal income tax rate for individuals is 14%, more than twice of the corporate tax rate Champagne highlights here. The Liberals are taxing corporations less than they are taxing us.
Budget 2026 present the most comprehensive suite of business incentives in half a century. At the heart of it, is the new Productivity Mega Deduction, which will boost Canada’s Investment Supercycle. Over the next 10 years, this should expand Canada’s productivity capacity, by adding about $22 billion a year to GDP and supporting up to 80,000 jobs. We are making for businesses, small and large, to choose, invest and stay in Canada.

AOC: I'm supporting Jeffries for speaker because "public housing is my priority". So ending genocide, the Iran war, AIPAC influence, billionaires tax and Medicare for All are evidently not her priority.
Just like when progressive Dems betrayed voters & fell in line backing Pelosi for Speaker without demanding ANYTHING for their vote, they’re now betraying people who voted against Israel by pledging their support to rabid Zionist & genocide enabler Jeffries for Speaker. HOORAY!

“Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.” — George Wallace, 1963 “Israel today, Israel tomorrow, Israel forever.” — Hakeem Jeffries, 2014 Seems pretty owned to me.
Saying that Rep. Jeffries is owned by Israel rolls two racist tropes into one and you little shits don’t get to play dumb, you know exactly what you're doing

For last 24 hours I’ve seen footage of horrific scenes from Gaza, just absolute human misery. Yet..it’s not there on any news outlet’s home pages, not discussed on our witless political shows. We’re just going to ignore it? Is that the plan?

Jews lived in the Holy Land for centuries prior to Israel's creation. They did not seek to gain sovereignty, subjugate but merely wished to live in dignified peace with their Muslim neighbors. And they did. "No one in the yeshiva ever told me it was dangerous to go by myself among the Arabs. We just lived with them, and got along very well." Words of Rabbi Boruch Kaplan a Yeshiva student before the horrific Hebron massacre detailing how Zionist antagonized local and previously peaceful communities with their radical ideas. In short, Jews and Muslims were not enemies like Israeli leaders enjoy depicting. But Zionists "need" us to be enemies for Zionism to survive and thrive. They will weaponize antisemitism, distort our sacred religion, and exploit Jewish identity to get their nationalistic agendas promoted in our name.
I believe in a world where a Palestinian child and a Jewish Israeli child growing up in the Holy Land can look forward at their life and believe it is not going to be curtailed by somebody's violence.

Why so many are unwilling to call out the genocidal apartheid state.
How it works: In 1988 Foreign Office minister David Mellor MP described conditions in Gaza as "shocking and inhuman", "an affront to civilised values" and confronted the IDF in public. His career ended when secretly taken recordings of his sex life were published in the media.

Bibi will literally drop a nuclear bomb on a country so he doesn’t have to go to prison…. Can’t make this up…
Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war. To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha. The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people. And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final. We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it. Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made. They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making. One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

Pelosi had similarly low approval rates, but in 2021, certain access “progressives” insisted that she was ‘too popular to challenge’ — even though it would only have taken 6 of them to oust her.
Imagine being too scared to challenge a guy with a 13% approval rating among your voters

I'm sorry - after writing stern letters and hiring lots of lawyers, this is the Carney government’s big move to save Stelco workers? When was the last time the Competition Bureau brought the hammer down on a big corporation? Anyone? Workers are under attack *right now*. Nationalize Stelco, yesterday.

I never thought that my "Elbows Up" MP, @DarrenFisherNS, would be okay with this. The only way that the US bid could win is through paying crap wages.

The US regime is a threat to us all. Their next move is to create a siege against one of the world's oldest civilisations and home to 90 million people. As they've done with Cuba the aim is to destroy peoples lives in the hope their oligarchy can one day steal its resources.

This is the type of shit that happens countless times a day and goes unreported outside the WB. Then, when the village is buried under a mountain of waste and residents are forced to burn it, settlers will accuse them of air pollution and occupation will crack down even harder.
Israeli occupation forces confiscated a tractor used for waste collection in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, and handed it over to settlers. Under the protection of Israeli forces, the settlers dumped the waste the tractor was carrying at the entrance of Al-Mughayyir Boys’ School, in yet another attack on Palestinian property and village facilities.

Just do universal basic income. Artists need money to make art. What you're saying is make the money before the art, which is not how making art works. And let's not forget what trained all AI models. Artists' work did.
In Budget 2026, we’re backing the Canadian artists who tell our stories. That means if you’re a Canadian artist, you won’t pay tax on up to $45,000 of income derived from your creative work.
