Made a 35s short entirely local on my 5090 with MiniMax H3. Then I told Claude to make it look like an anime animator worked over real footage.
It tracked every hit, then added neon ink impact frames, colored speed lines and half-anime cel flashes. The quiet shots stayed clean.
The anime FX start hitting at 0:16.
1/ Saw a bunch of people saying video gen is too inconsistent, so here's how I actually get usable stuff out of MiniMax H3 at home on my 5090. Spoiler: it's not one-shot. 🧵
5/ Then comes revisions. I watch the cut back, catch whatever's off, like the can leaning the wrong way between shots, and ask for fixes. Re-roll, recut, watch again. 🤷♂️ It's not magic
The 5090 supply is drying up 😬 I run minimax h3 all day and can't imagine paying cloud fees for all the experimenting it takes to get good video workflows down
NVIDIA is reportedly no longer accepting RTX 5090 orders from some board partners.
According to a new report, one NVIDIA board partner says it currently cannot place new orders for the RTX 5090’s GB202 GPU and 32GB GDDR7 memory package. Even backorders aren’t being accepted.
NVIDIA has denied that the RTX 5090 is discontinued and says it will continue shipping the flagship GPU. But if board partners can't actually order more chips, the situation is getting pretty weird.
I love grokbot but it keeps telling me a model isn't installed when it's literally sitting on my F: drive. so now there's one registry every agent reads, and the rule is you can't say "missing" until you've checked the path. how are you tracking local models across multiple agents?
There is an arbitrage available rn for people who quickly pick up agentic video editing while the market still prices it as though it’s all manual. 👀
4/ all the type, captions, chat bubbles and the "Made with AI" watermark that keeps growing are a python + ffmpeg compositor. whisper and demucs handled the timing. the funniest bug: the model kept giving her five fingers, so the six finger hand got its own shot.
I saw @kentdhani's FastH3 Omni piece and wanted to see if I could pull off something like it at home on my 5090. Here's how it was made and where it fell short. 🧵
I never opened an editor. The whole thing came together by talking it through with Grok Bot, about 13 rounds back and forth. But here's where it falls apart. Fast motion turns faces to mush, and can lead to weird blurry artifacts (like you see on the can)
