The “humiliation” was a necessary character moment for Vegeta. It’s not even subtle, and the movie even spells it out blatantly in case someone didn’t get it yet Both Vegeta and Goku put their pride aside to do what was necessary

Also them removing all the scenes of Vegeta sucking up to Beerus hurts Vegeta’s characterization. He does all those things because he cares about the Earth and knows that if he doesn’t suck up to Beerus, he’ll get tired and just blow it up. The movie explicitly states that.

To be fair I think it's always been a mix of being annoyed and proud. In age of ultron he seemed nervous but in endgame he was happy It's like when your little brother starts getting as good as you in the game you taught him
