Came across this early find on my timeline today: @Nogasonsui, an upcoming memecoin on Sui. NOGAS is a lime-green frog, which the team describes as paper-thin and with absolutely no gas. It is not live yet and will launch on the BlastFun launchpad. They are giving 60 GTD spots with a $25 allocation to people who make content about the project. Remember that old saying Not your keys, not your coins? With the recent hardware exploits, I have been thinking this saying is no longer enough to keep you safe. Ledger proudly promotes itself on their website as "With Ledger, you have the benefit of secure self-custody; guaranteeing you have ownership of your keys and your coins." That is simply not true anymore. Tampered devices with hidden hardware implants were sold through one of Ledger's own authorised resellers, and bad actors used them to steal from people who thought their assets were safe. Ledger says all confirmed cases come from that one reseller, but who can vouch for that? There are already unconfirmed reports of tampered devices bought elsewhere. Fittingly, the 6529 Memes card for that exact saying is titled The Illusion. Maybe crypto security really is one. Feels bad, man.

Application meta is in full swing again. Applications take time and are not always worth it, so it pays to be picky about where we submit. One that made my list is @paperdao_xyz. It is a community treasury that pools capital to trade on papertrade, a new synthetic perps exchange on Hyperliquid launching on 10th October. Its PAPER token is minted from trader losses, at the highest rate while the pool is still small. The plan is to trade from the very first block, at size, before that rate drops. If your application is approved, you get an allocation in the raise, first come, first served until it fills. Keeping this one on my radar!

Sunday find by Ozo: @ComputersRh is a PC-building game coming to the Robinhood Chain, and Early Access opens next week. It comes from @0xArtix, who interned at a game studio during university and later worked as a developer on Web3 projects. This is the game they always wanted to make. You get your own pixel-art island, buy parts with the game token, then build and upgrade PCs that earn for you. But these PCs use electricity, their parts wear down, thermal paste needs replacing, and poor cooling makes everything less efficient. The bigger your setup, the more it costs to keep running! Every player has their own island in a shared online world, so you can visit other people's setups. Early Access is on 6th October, and the public launch is on 7th October, both at 4 PM UTC. A free mint of 3,333 NFTs is also coming, date TBA, and holding them boosts your in-game earnings. There are three ways to secure a GTD spot: 1,111 go to players through in-game token spending, 333 to creators who post about the game and submit it through the Creators tab on their site, and 1,889 through collabs with alpha groups and communities.
