I think the thing that shocked me the most as I advanced in my career was how frequently the answer to “how do I fix this problem?” is just having a good conversation with a human. Sometimes good processes, practices, and science don’t solve all the problems.

Yes, virtual meetings are convenient - most days the commute is just steps. But there are times when getting together in person is going to be the most effective approach.
