So I know a lot of Christians don’t celebrate Halloween for sincerely held religious reasons, but I made a joke to a dad dressed as a priest and asked him to bless me.
He caught me off guard when he didn’t joke back and instead sincerely asked what I needed prayer for.
I bumbled for a second at this stranger with his kids and wife looking at me and offered my brother in law who has been valiantly fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer for a few years.
In front of God and the world he prayed the most beautiful prayer with both of us in costume.
I don’t know about y’all’s evening but Satan was defeated on our porch tonight.
