US sanctions Nigeria-based entity for attempting to help Iran procure anti-aircraft m+ssile systems
The United States has imposed sanctions on two individuals and one Nigeria-based entity over their alleged involvement in efforts to help Iran procure Chinese-made man-portable air-defence systems (MANPADS).
The US Department of State identified the Nigerian entity as Vanguard Tactical Supply Limited, accusing it of facilitating the procurement of the weapons for Iran through the use of false end-users.

Nigeria is set to partner with the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) to reposition the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF).
According to the Defence Headquarters, discussions are underway with the junta-led Sahelian countries to revitalize the MNJTF, the regional military coalition established to coordinate the fight terrorist groups operating across the Lake Chad Basin.
The proposal was discussed at a regional forum that brought together former and serving MNJTF Force Commanders and security experts to identify ways to strengthen regional counterterrorism cooperation.
If the repositioning translates into deeper cross-border military cooperation and enables Nigeria to employ its air power against terrorist targets within AES territory, it could significantly enhance the campaign against insurgent groups operating across porous borders.
The MNJTF was established in 2015 to combat the Boko Haram insurgency across the Lake Chad region. Its original members are Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, and Benin. However, Niger suspended its participation after joining the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).

We were honoured to welcome the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, and senior Nigerian Army leaders to our research facility in Abuja.
The delegation toured our facility, saw our defense systems in production and discussed how these systems can extend the Army’s reach, protect lives and critical infrastructure, and strengthen security across the country.
We also shared our new research programmes and plans for new defence manufacturing plants in Nigeria and across Africa.
We look forward to deepening our collaboration with the Nigerian Army in the fight against terrorism.

Foreign Man Pays Men Attempting to Sell Sea Turtle Along Road Near Eko Hotel, Lagos, and Returns It to the Sea
"Today, I witnessed something that genuinely broke my heart but also restored a little of my faith in humanity.
While leaving Eko Hotel, Lagos State, I saw some men trying to sell a sea turtle in the middle of the road as though it were an ordinary item of trade.
A foreign man stopped and tried everything possible to stop them. He shouted, pleaded and appealed to the people around him, including the uniformed police officers present, to understand that what they were doing was wrong.
Sadly, it seemed his voice was the only one speaking up for a creature that couldn't speak for itself.
However, he refused to give up. He eventually paid the men for the turtle, not to own it but to give it another chance at life.
With the assistance of a police van, the turtle was taken back to the sea and released into its natural habitat."

We're excited to deepen our collaboration with the Nigerian Army to win the war on terror. We highlighted our new research programs and unveiled our plans for new defense manufacturing plants in Nigeria and Africa
One of Terra's three strategic goals is to end Africa's dependence on foreign intelligence and arms. We're in a technological arms race against the terrorists and we must win.

5. Move from apology to repair
Instead of requiring another “Say sorry properly,” ask:
“What can we do to make this better?”
An apology matters.
Learning how to repair matters more.

4. Separate the child from the behaviour
Never correct using identity language:
❌ “You're impossible.”
❌ “You never learn.”
❌ “Why are you always like this?”
Focus on the step without making their identity the problem:
✔ “What you did wasn't okay.”
✔ “This part didn’t work. Let’s fix this step.”

3. Give them one safety sentence first
Before discussing the mistake, give a grounding signal that removes the threat:
• “You made a mistake. You're still okay with me.”
• “I know you didn’t mean to.”
• “I’m on your side.”
Then pause.
Let those words land before saying anything else.

2. Stop proving the point
They already understand you're unhappy.
Spending another five minutes saying “But you need to understand…” turns one mistake into: “Something is wrong with me.”
ADHD kids already carry heavy self-blame.

1. Hear what is underneath the apology
Repeated “sorry” isn't always just accountability.
It often means: “Please stop being upset with me.”
ADHD children don’t fear mistakes—they fear what mistakes mean about them.
Your child is trying to restore safety and connection as quickly as possible.
