Injuries are why we shouldn’t assume dynasties will just happen. Presti and OKC have done everything right but there’s no controlling this variable. Hopefully these guys are back healthy soon.
BREAKING: Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams has a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula; Cason Wallace has a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both will undergo surgery and be sidelined for several months -- most, if not the entire season.

I don’t agree with every take but I read every one. @Ball_InMyHand knows ball.

Efficiency be damned. A 30-piece in game three is impressive.

Reads like a Donovan quote. (this is a compliment and I completely agree, Tiago)
Splitter: “I think we gotta understand, the NBA is gonna change now with the rules. Nobody is just playing guys, giving them minutes, and we’re gonna lose, we don’t care. You gotta win every game. That’s how you should be approaching. That’s gonna change how you develop players, because the importance of winning is greater.”

I wonder if @cbefred is going to give us some hard-hitting analysis on who was exceptionally bad on this defensive possession?

The good thing about Caleb Wilson is you don't have to talk yourself into thinking he is going to be very good. He obviously is going to be. There's a certain relief that comes with this, one where you know you got one and you don't have to pretend he's something he's not.

I don't know how good he is going to be, but he's going to be good. There's no need to debate. There's no pretending. He clears the eye test already. He's going to be good. It's going to happen. It already is. This is good.

If you thought Noa Essengue was going to be good, you’re pleased so far. If you had no real thoughts about Noa Essengue, you’re pleased so far. If you thought Noa Essengue was going to be bad, you’re pleased so far.

I was number two on this list. Had no real meaningful thoughts — in complete wait and see mode. Still very early, but I’m intrigued.

Tiago Splitter on closing with Tre Jones over Josh Giddey: "Cannot say enough about Tre. He changed the game."

Tre Jones and Jalen Smith are going to be very important in putting Caleb in moments that matter, but they’re also far too good to be playing on this caliber of team. Interesting conundrum.

This is the argument for Norm, too. Been a bit too shot happy for my like, but I get it. But how long are these guys for Chicago? Regardless, Miller just doing what he does and using feel to be good is encouraging and replicable. Signs of life with Noa, too.

Blaming the coach, not the players, is a very easy tell…
I’m convinced Tiago Splitter hates Josh Giddey… but he might hate Matas Buzelis even more 😬

Tiago Splitter on Josh Giddey’s wrist injury: “I haven’t seen it affect his play. I understand he’s got something with his wrist. I think he’s just playing basketball.”
