Happy Birthday Mr. Plump!
Today, the @HoopsHall joins fans across the state in wishing Bobby Plump a very Happy 90th Birthday! Inducted into the HOF in 1981, Bobby’s place in Indiana basketball history was forever cemented on March 20, 1954, when his famous last second jumper secured a state championship for Milan HS, a moment that captured the heart of the nation and came to define the true spirit of Hoosier Hysteria. Beyond his iconic high school career, Bobby’s dedication to Indiana’s basketball heritage has left an indelible mark on our sport’s community. Please join us in celebrating a true legend and honoring a lifetime of unforgettable contributions to Indiana basketball! 🏀

Jonathan Kite’s Anthony Bourdain impressions are criminally underrated. This Outback Steakhouse one might be the best of the series — the voice, the cadence, that perfect mix of dry contempt and reluctant appreciation. “A carnivorous caricature of Australian kitsch, where the only thing authentic is the accent in the commercials.” He’s got a whole series of these.

3 yrs ago today, my wife had a massive stroke. The doctors told me her recovery may take 3 yrs. I was floored. Today she walks, talks, drives, & swims. Coaches talk about resiliency & toughness playing a game. Nobody is more resilient or tougher than Johnetta in the game of life.

Said it before. Worth repeating. One of the dumbest trends of my lifetime: Holding up an entire parking lot to do a reverse 5-point turn all just to back into your spot like you're unloading uranium cores down at the shipyard. Dude, you're in a Chevy Colorado at the Publix.

Orville Wright died on January 30, 1948. Kenny Loggins was born on January 7, 1948. That means the guy who invented flight and the guy who sang “Danger Zone” from “Top Gun” were alive at the same time.
