Pretty much true and most white color jobs held by these people are at risk of getting replaced by AI. #wehavegunstoo
We need to talk more about what Gen X and older millennials have been through financially. They survived the 2008 recession, spent years rebuilding, got hit by a pandemic, and then watched housing, groceries, insurance, and everyday expenses become increasingly unaffordable. Now it’s 2026, and people in their 40s and 50s are trying to save for retirement while still catching up on financial milestones they expected to reach a decade ago. At some point, we have to acknowledge that an entire generation has spent much of its adult life recovering from one economic crisis after another.
Anyone catch the "my headset ain't working" trick that Mike Rogers just tried on @MeetThePress when he was asked about representing the Trump agenda?

The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's.
What an absolutely insane foreign policy.
"Trump fights for you" is tone deaf AF. Good lord.
I happen to think that every pregnant 12-year old is a victim of a crime! These abortion ban supporters are virtue signaling themselves into being pedo-protectors.

@mlathrop3 One has to be 16 to drive, or work. 18 to vote, or join military. 21 to drink or smoke. Why is 12 an acceptable age for making any life altering decision without parents?
Idaho you also sign on a tablet. Lawsuits galore if they throw out in-person votes by signature.
2 problems I noticed when voting in Florida yesterday. Why aren’t republicans concerned?:
1 - They require you to sign your signature with your finger on a tablet. That signature can be used to throw out your vote if it doesn’t match the signature they have on file, which you signed with a pen.
2 - They require you to vote via paper ballot, using a pencil to fill in the bubble next to your choice. You then run your ballot through a machine that counts the votes, but you don’t get to see if the machine read your choices correctly.
Shouldn’t republicans who care about “election security” be concerned with this?

There’s a new backlash forming: parents mad at Republicans for exposing their kids to the concept of transitioning through constant advertising
Looking at the 2027 Idaho plans on the ACA exchange. Out-of-network out-of-pocket limits for my wife and I are $240,000. The premium is $17,604/year. I have two similar plans that cover my neurologist and I get a monitoring MRI every year that is $2,400.
Medicare-for-all NOW.

A number of people have asked why Trump has suddenly torn the mask off and gone fully pro-Putin.
My guess: he knows the GOP is hosed in the mid-terms, and he needs full Russian support to help shape public opinion that it was rigged, and thence to overturn the results.
As @TheRealJChubby would say, seems bad.
EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph.
The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement.
But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe.
The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown.
‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.
