This week, I asked an #FSL educator at my school @RideauPS_LDSB why she likes IDAPEL more than GB+ for data collection. Her response: I was always told to meet students where they’re at but never told how to get them to where they need to be. IDAPEL tells me where they’re at and, more importantly, where they need to be. Meeting students “where they’re at” is only the first step. For progress to happen, we need to also know where our Ss need to be AND how to get them there! Without the latter, we will always just be meeting them where they’re at.🤷🏼‍♀️ @acadience

It’s Friday &we’re still plugging away at reading! Not a minute to lose during my #FSL reading remediation groups! To get the most of our time together, I ensure every lesson includes blending sounds, segmenting words, encoding AND building vocab! Ss were chatty but engaged! 🤩
