We have to protect our free and fair elections from election deniers like Tom Tiffany.

At today’s WI-08 debate, Rick Crosson and Congressman Tony Wied each got to ask the other one question.
Crosson asked about Wied’s stock trades and record in Congress
Wied asked if Crosson supports communism

NEW: A Tiffany campaign staffer and elected member of the Waukesha School Board was arrested and cited with OWI last weekend in Eau Claire. A Waukesha parent group is calling on him to "immediately step down from the Waukesha School Board." therecombobulationarea.com/p…

There are SO MANY polices of Tiffany's I disagree with. I disagreed with him before the campaign, and I'm in even more disagreement after months and months of his campaign.
I disagree with his support of the war in Iran, his support of tariffs, his support of DOGE, of voting for the catastrophic health care cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill, a bill that represented one of (if not the) largest transfer of wealth to the rich in our nation's history. I vehemently disagree with his attempts to overturn a free and fair election in 2020, going farther than any other Wisconsin politician in those profoundly damaging, anti-democratic efforts that should be disqualifying for any politician running for office at any level.
I disagree with his proposals for state government, and the inevitable austerity that comes from having your one economic policy be tax cuts, ones that overwhelmingly benefit the wealthy. He's shown that he would not make needed investments in public schools, in health care, in child care, and in local government, where his attacks on Crowley's record are so painfully out-of-touch that I genuinely worry about whether or not there will even be a real future for local government in this state if Tiffany were to be elected.
I disagree with he and his campaign's lack of respect for the First Amendment and the freedom of the press. I disagree with Tiffany's own repeatedly stated opposition to birthright citizenship and the 14th Amendment and wanting to upend the very promises that are core to what makes this country great. I disagree with his obviously-too-cozy relationship with the billionaire backers funding his campaign, and how he's the most bought-and-paid-for candidate this state has ever seen.
I disagree with his misguided rhetoric on property taxes and not accurately identifying the problem of the state underfunding local needs and passing the problem downstream to school boards and local government. I disagree with his stance and record on abortion rights, extreme even by Republican standards. I disagree with his record on conservation and the environment and the "Toxic Tom" reputation he developed in the state legislature. I disagree with so much of what he and the Republican-controlled legislature did throughout the 2010s, in lock step with Scott Walker and Robin Vos on every issue from eliminating bargaining rights to advancing extreme partisan gerrymandering to refusing to fix lead pipes to voting for the colossal boondoggle that is Foxconn. I disagree with how he's made so much of his campaign one that is running decidedly against the state's largest city and economic engine in Milwaukee.
I could keep going and going and going but that's all just off the top of my head. Really an unbelievably awful candidate, running a more despicable campaign than even what my very-low expectations were when he first launched. He would be an outright disaster for Wisconsin.
Sometimes these right-wing goofs are so close to understanding what the problem is here...
Brewers 1B Jake Bauers decided to retire two years ago. His wife was going to go back to work as a teacher and he would be a stay-at-home-dad. Three weeks later, though, she found out she was pregnant with their second child.
Bauers decided to return to baseball only because his family needed health insurance. Tonight he was named MVP of the National League Championship Series.

The way actual Democrats talk about issues in Wisconsin is so vastly different from what the right-wing caricatures of Democratic candidates are.
Tom Tiffany right now "I'm digging deeper into the idea of bankrupting the State!"
My dude, this is like "more recess and playground time for everyone" level of campaign nonsense.
Could Wisconsin get rid of its income tax? Audio obtained by 27 News reveals Republican Tom Tiffany is considering it. I'm digging deeper into the financial impact that would have for our state. wkow.com/news/digging-deeper…
Great lesson here by @TomTiffanyWI in how to voluntarily damage your own campagin.

I’m grateful to God that Congressman Tiffany and no one else was hurt in this horrifying incident, which could have been a tragedy if not for the heroism of the pilot.
I wish them and the Congressman a quick recovery and that they can find solace with their loved ones.
While returning home from the La Crosse County Lincoln Day Dinner tonight, the plane I was traveling in lost power as we approached the Wausau Downtown Airport. The pilot made an emergency water landing in Lake Wausau.
After landing, we called 911. As the plane began to submerge, we exited the aircraft and swam to a shallow area, where we waited until emergency responders reached us by boat.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the pilot, the Wausau Fire Department, and all of the first responders who came to our aid so quickly. They got us safely off the water and transported us to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where we received excellent care. Thankfully, both the pilot and I sustained only minor injuries.
God was watching over us tonight, and I am incredibly grateful to be here in the hospital with my wife, Chris, by my side. An experience like this reminds you just how precious life is.
For my Brookfield, Tosa, and Elm Grove folks, Amy Zimmerman would be a phenomenal State Rep for AD13.
Simply put, she's a force for good and someone that shows up for her community and puts in the work.

This where I remind everyone that it just reflects the amount of money bet on each candidate and it is not a predictor. And where @AnnJacobsMKE reminds everyone that betting on an election in Wisconsin is not only wrong, it's illegal, and Judge Smails never slices his teeth shot. – at West Milwaukee, WI
