i spent a lot of my time in the past year thinking about the mental health and well-being of somali women; how many of us struggle in silence, or disappear without much notice. i appreciate Cold Specks for being so honest with us about mental health: thestar.com/entertainment/mu…

Cold Specks details her battle with schizophrenia and hospitalization

Local musician born Ladan Hussein says she contemplated suicide, amid her delusions, before family got her the help she needed. Now she’s plotting a comeback — energetically, but carefully.

Every year I get teary at #TVOgala because it’s a reminder that not everyone gets the opportunity to work somewhere you get to learn everyday and meet the brightest minds. Tonight a standing ovation for former Ontario Premier and founder of @tvo Bill Davis #NeverStopLearning

After "the summer of the gun," youth arts programs showed potential but fell by the wayside. Were we set up to fail?
