Just appreciating the canals one last time before the end of irrigation season 💧
Reminder: the 2026 irrigation season ends Friday, October 30 📆
Splasher had a great time teaching canal safety to the students at St. Stanislaus Catholic School! 🐸💦
He reminded of Splasher's safety rules:
Learn to swim 🏊
Never swim alone 👥
Stay away from canals ❌
Swim and play in safe places 🌊

Happy Water Professionals Appreciation Week! 💧
Our story began nearly 140 years ago with water. We were founded as an irrigation district providing water to some of the most productive farmland in the country. In the 90s, we began treating and delivering drinking water to the City of Modesto.
Thank you to the hard-working, dedicated staff who keep water flowing to our farms and our homes 💦🌱🏘️
This week, we celebrate Public Power Week! ⚡
For over 100 years, MID has been providing power to our communities. We work 24/7 to ensure power is reliably, safely, and affordably delivered to you.
We're proud to be your community-owned, not-for-profit, local-governed utility 💡

Good news for MID customers! No electric rate increases in 2027 💡⚡
Yesterday, the MID Board of Directors unanimously approved the 2027 budget—following a busy summer of budget workshops, including thoughtful discussion and careful review.
Throughout the process, MID staff and the Board evaluated projects based on need, timing, and overall value to ensure we’re making responsible investments while keeping costs top of mind.
MID continues to invest in the infrastructure needed to provide the essential services you rely on every day. The approximately $600 million 2027 budget, with no electric rate increases, reflects our ongoing commitment to thoughtful planning, fiscal stewardship, and the customers we serve.
Today, MID General Manager Jimi Netniss had the opportunity to speak to his fellow Rotarians at the Modesto Rotary Club.
